City club date for Big Brother star

Big Brother heart-throb Liam McGough is coming clubbing in Sunderland tonight to help launch Liquid and Diva's half-a-million-pound refurnishment.

Even though he only made it to third place in Big Brother eight, Liam was lucky enough to scoop £100,000 after he was nominated for the prize by fellow housemates.

Next weekend the club's VIP guest will be Lisa Maffia, who will perform Dave Spoons' massive dance floor filler Bad Girl on Saturday, September 29.

The venue on Green Terrace has had a major facelift and has been decked out with a 360-degree projector, stadium standard light and sound and plasma TVs behind the bars.

General manager Spenser Manuel said: "The modern refit will provide clubbers in Sunderland with something a bit different.

"That, along with our first- class line of entertainment will really set us apart."

The club lanched its new look last night and will be open on Mondays and Thursdays as well as weekends with a mixture of chart, commercial dance, RnB, big anthems and retro classics.
