I don’t normally wear much make-up, to be honest. But that’s partly because I don’t always go by magazines in terms of the best products etc., so if anyone could recommend anything that’d be useful!

If I wear make-up though, I tend to put on eyeliner, which I couldn’t live without although I’m still a bit of a novice as I use the pencils rather than the pens (which are meant to last all day). I use the Rimmel London crayon. I use Revlon mascara sometimes as well (their blusher is good too, especially in the form of a cream. But that’s what I’ve heard, rather than being based on personal experience). I have the odd eye glitter, eye shadows etc. as well, but they’re just stashed away in my drawers as I never use them.

On odd occasions I might put some foundation on, but the liquid one I have is really difficult to use… and it makes my face look redder and darker, and I’m not sure if that’s meant to happen!

I use the MaxFactor face powder though, as it helps cover up the odd spot etc. but my skin tone is Golden… and they stopped doing that recently (even though they have it in the bronzing powder section – which I don’t use). So if anyone knows of an alternative I’d be willing to listen!

I wear lipgloss, but it never bothers me which brand, and even then I don’t put it on every day (Vaseline’s handier!) It’s one thing that’s simple and can make a difference to your appearance though.

I go through stages of buying products..... I love Clarins Moisteriser and I have a fondness of clinique make-up. I tend to splash out on foundations and such from clinique because they always last longer.

My fav thing in my make-up bag is this:

well im getting to be a bit of an expert, ive been wearing make up for about 6 years now,all day everyday apart from days when i stay in the house and be a hermit,i dont bother then.I dont go out of the house without it though.I usually use benefit concealer for under my eyes to diguise my terrible dark shadows! It works quite well, best one ive found so far anyway. Then for the odd spot or blemish i may have i just use a boots number 17 concealer stick as oppose to the benefit one which is very pricey so i dont like to use too much, the benefit one also comes in a little compact and with a mirror plus you use your finger to apply or you could use a brush.
I then use maybelline wonder finish foundation in nude which I ave been using for about 4 years or more now and i love it its fantastic and well worth the 5.99 i pay for it.I then apply a light dusting of boots number 17 oil control pressed powder just to set my foundation so that it stays in place and also to control any shinyness i may have going on.
Following that I use a rimmel bronzing powder becuase im anaemic and particularly pale in my face so this gives me a little bit of colour,im not sure how much i pay for this maybe £5 somthing like that.
I then do my eyes.I too use the rimmel crayon,i wouldnt worry about using a liquid liner, there more trouble than there worth, very messy and you have to have a very steady hand plus I find they wear off just as easily as the crayon.I think the liquid liner looks tarty and ott too but thats just my opinion.I only apply my liner to bottom of my eye,i dont like the whole amy winehouse look applying it to the actual eye lid
I then apply the eye shadow, and depending on the occasion i choose colour accordingly,my every day shadow is always something natural and light,i like cream eye shadows but find they crease,i still wear em any way though becuase i like the colour,my favourite at the moment is maybelline dream mousse in divine gold it cost me around £6.For a night out i usually will opt for a dark glittry brown,i have a fabulous bourjois one which ive had for years and still works fab,i wore it last night actually.I sometime go for an even darker eye look by using greys, silvers and blacks to create a smoky eye effect.I dont know if i actually suit this look becuase ive got very strange colour eyes, there neither blue, green or grey-kinda a mixture,i sware there a different colour one day to the next lol.
Oh and of course i use a mascara,my usual choice is once again from mabelline,i use their classic great lash blackest black mascara,it comes in a pink bottle witha green lid.its extremely popular and a total classic.I have used various other mascaras some of which are from bourjois, which i always find to be good and ive had a few rimmel ones too-also,not bad.
After ive done my eyes I apply a little bit of blusher to give me some colour in my cheeks, ive had tons of varieties of blushers in the past but once again mabelline do not fail me and my favourite is dream mousse blusher in peach satin although ive also used darker and lighter shades in this range because i change my hair colour alot and find i need to use a new shade of blusher.Ive also had a few rimmel blushers in the form of powder,i find these are ok but i prefer the moose 100%,you get more control imo.Ive used a cream blusher aswell but that wasnt so good as it was quite cheap(boots natural collection)and it ended up looking too harsh.
Oh I almost forgot-lipgloss!
I have had literally hundreds of lipglosses over the years from christian dior to collection 2000.I have to say that i dont think anyone wil;l be able to tell if your wearing a pricey lipgloss or a cheapish one but what i do find is that the cheap ones dont last very long and also the christian dior ones ive had in the past have always given me more apllications than the cheap ones, which is what you`d expect.I particularly like bourjois lipglosses and loreal.
