5th October:
dear diary... i am starting to get flusteringly homesick... i really miss simon and beetlejuice (sic).... i think it's time to return... it sounds weird and cliched but i actually really miss you... i thought i would enjoy the anonimity but i think i am much more of a fame hungry egomaniac than i gave myself credit for!! As soon as i get back i pick up my toyger kitten... i'm going to call him battlecat... i'm going to try to get straight into the studio... i'm really worried about the ex wife so i'm going to make sure she eats properly and is happy... i got so much crazy stuff for my new flat in mexico including a deers head covered with tiny neon beads... it's the grossest, most amazing thing ever... i also went to new york and found out that you cannot but fun boy three records in america... i tried everywhere... i'm going to send some back for my friends... i got the penguin books logo and the chateauneuf du pape stamp tattooed on my arm.... i am a crazy mother****er.... all my love x









15th October:

I'm coming home!! this trip has made me realise how perfect brighton is and more specifically my life in brighton... i've got some songs together and i've nearly finished my novel... my voodoo film is on telly this week... i actually feel embarassingly happy and i'm struggling to display my usual cynicism and contempt for everyone and everything... i think my grumpy old man phase is drawing to a close... or having a brief recess... i found all the fun boy three records i was looking for! including a real gem of a rarity and i found the colour field record... i'm turning into a really anal collector... as in pedantic, i don't collect bumholes... if you find any terry hall related rareties then somehow let me know! ... i got lucky soul tattooed on my arm... it's really low... practically on my hand... i ****ing ****ing ****ing love that band.... my friend rob got it done too and so is simon.... anyone who wants to be in our lucky soul club is more than welcome but you have to get the tattoo first!!! i went on a batman rollercoaster yesterday that made me hate my life.... it was the most stressful and intense 3mins of my life.... **** that!... it's my last karaoke tonight... it's going to be my farwell party... i'll be singing either that's life or my way.... or i'll just not try to be so profound and do the song from the little mermaid..... walking around on those... what do you call them?..... feeeeeet. see you on friday england! x
