Default Sam and Mark

According to The Sun, Simon Fuller has signed both Sam and Mark and the pair are going to be marketed together as a duo called 'Sam and Mark' (how original lol) and will be releasing 'With a Little Help from my Friends' as a single together next month.

That reminds me .... I saw some of our Yorkshire relatives on New Year's Eve and Rachael, my second cousin, is allegedly going out with Sam's best friend (well, she does live in Barnsley so it's reasonable enough). She said he was going to bring out a single, but that they needed Michelle's to come out first beofre he could do anything. She never said anything about a duo though - I think Sam should be solo myself!

It sounds like Robson and Jerome mark 2.

Not that they will be complaining if they sell as many records mind you.

Anyone else see these two on TOTP tonight? I think they will do quite well with this when it is released. They certainly proved they can sing well and seemed very relaxed and looked as though they were really enjoying themselves. They got a good reception too.

If you remember Will and Gareth put out a duet as well as recording solos and I think this will happen to these two.

Good luck to both of them.

Good luck to them, but . . . . . .

Sorry, I thought they looked like two kids performing a karaoke number at a party.

And what happened to Simon and Nicki's comments on PI2 that they would only be concentrating on the winner this year?

YEAH . . . . . . . RIGHT . . . . . . . WHATEVER!

It was.........OK-ish.

Thing is, because Joe Cocker did this absolutely mind-blowing performance of it at Woodstock, it is thought as a 'classic'.

What those who record it as a 'poppy' number forget is that it was originally written for Ringo to 'sing'. Ergo it is a bit bland and undemanding, as are Octupus's Garden and Yellow Submarine.

Joe Cocker blew them away with his interpretation..........I can only imagine 6 year olds in fairy frocks jumping around at a party to Mark and Sam.

But heigh-ho, it will sell a few records, and we do have to think about Pete's pension I suppose.
