Jade: I'm heading for the jungle...once I stuff my turkey

Jade Goody is ready for a TV comeback and has confessed to Metro that she wants to swing from the trees on I'm A Celebrity.

The 26-year-old has also set her sights further afield – on Hollywood.

At present, though, she is happy being a celebrity chef, which is why the woman who once coined an infamous definition for 'kebab' invited Metro over to help stuff a turkey as part of her new Christmas cookery guide for dummies.

Sensing she was in feisty mood, and eager not to repeat anything to do with the race row on Celebrity Big Brother this year, I thought best to steer clear of poppadom recipes.

Chatting with one hand up the bird's backside, the mother-of-two revealed she was more than ready for her return and to leave the trash world of D-list celebrity.

She has set her sights on Hollywood. 'It is a return to the public eye,' said the former dental assistant from Bermondsey, South London.

'It hasn't been the best year for me but I haven't stopped being written about.' She added: 'There is a lot of interest in me over in America. I've met lots of contacts. There are talks with Samuel L Jackson to meet me – we're quite friendly. I've also got friends who want to introduce me to Johnny Depp.'

She said she deserved to hang with the A-list, adding: 'I will be friends with Michael Jackson and Johnny Depp.'

Goody revealed she was asked to appear on I'm A Celebrity but only when she was more 'low profile'.

Referring to her return after the race row involving Shilpa Shetty, she remained defiant, saying: 'I didn't do anything wrong. I've rectified mistakes and realised I'm not over certain issues.'

She then fired a warning shot to her magazine cover rivals, saying: 'People who are celebrities are writers, talented musicians, artists and actors. Chantelle, Chanelle, Danielle Lloyd – you are not celebrities! You're just lucky.'

Moving on to her own relationship, she scotched rumours of a wedding to on-off boyfriend Jack Tweedy.

'No engagement. No wedding', she insisted.
