Hello
ive suffered from IBS for 4-5 years now, but its slowly getting worse. i was coping quite well with it up untill last november when for some reason i just gave up subconsciously. now i have lost a lot of weight and im literally skin and bones. i survive on 2 biscuits, 2 pieces of toast and nibbling on sweets and chocolate. this is because i cannot face eating due to being scared to eat. i get bloatedso easily. im in constant discomfort. im so tired and have no interest in anything. ive given up university and i just sit in my room feeling down. im scared to go to the doctor as he said i should be sent to the hospital but im petrified of having the inspections such as barium meals and cameras inserted in me. please can you help? chris |

Chris - sorry to hear this. But please please get up the courage to go to the doctors.
My daughter also suffers from IBS (hers is brought on mainly by stress), but she has now been given a diet to follow after a trip to the hospital which has improved matters greatly. There is light at the end of the tunnel. The doctor is there to help you if you will let him. |
