Default Complaints to ofcom reach a staggering 1,100!

In just a few hours, the number of complaints Ofcom has received over vote lines for Saturday night's X Factor have shot up to 1,100. The complaints are mainly from people claiming they couldn't get through when trying to vote for Rhydian. It isn't known at this stage how long the Ofcom investigation will take...

Screw ofcom and screw the lifeless oxygen wasters who take the time to ring them.

Jeez, are people going to get over this any time soon? Rhydian has a recording contract with Simon anyway, even if it was a fix it still works out just as well for Rhydian. But I don't think they'd run the risk of fixing the show, especially with all the other fixing scandals this year!

Leon fans AND Same Difference fans all had trouble getting through, but because Rhydian fans cant face up to the fact that Leon won, they want ITV to get in trouble for it

Even if all engaged votes did get registered, it probably wouldn't have overturned the vote.

I wonder how many of these are from Leon fans complaining and how many are from Rhydian fans. I'm sure they are not all Rhydian fans.

This story is getting bigger and bigger. OfCom has to do something now in order to calm this.

What it is, basically, is that people can't accept that their favourite hasn't won even though they've spent money voting for him. Usually when you pay money you get something back in return - but it doesn't work like that with these shows and people can't get their heads round that... so they complain.

This lines were engaged complaint happens every time with these phone-in vote shows. The simple explanation is that there is never enough capacity to accept demand for calls. You might not get through to vote but it doesn't make any difference who you are voting for.

Ryhdian would do well to distance himself from these silly complaints.

People have become very suspicious of tv phone-ins this year, thanks to all the scandals, so it is natural for them to question a result that was so close. People are not doing any harm by wanting ofcom to investigate. If they find there was no fixing then ITV could gain some much needed credibility back, so I don't know why all the Leon supporters are getting so angry.

Leon supporters are probably getting angry - if they are - because they feel this is being used to undermine his win.
