I was just wondering how many of you would be for the mods/admins to make a new rule where you can't post odds in thread titles.
I think it would be a good idea because when coming on the forum, not everyone wants to know who is favourite to be evicted etc. I think over in the X Factor boards etc, it doesn't really matter because they can change instantly on the night but in Big Brother, betting odds are almost 100% right. There has only been about 1 or 2 times where they have been wrong and some people might not want the surprise of who is going ruined ... I don't think people should have to avoid the forum because of some people who insist on putting the odds in the thread titles, and spoiling the evictions for those who don't want to know. Who thinks this is a good idea and should the staff consider it? |

If it's a pre-recorded show I agree but as it's a forum about Big Brother, a live show then I really can't see where's the problem.

But betting odds are 99.9% of the time right when it comes to evictions so to have "x is 1/5 to go tonight" means "x will be evicted" and then those who want to avoid it have just had the evictions ruined in a way.
Personally, I think a lot of people will be thinking the same as me and may feel the need to avoid the forum just to avoid betting odds during the series which isn't really fair and could be avoided if there was a rule against posting it in the thread title, and posting something like "Betting Odds for Tonight [SPOILER]" would then give people the choice whether they want to see the odds or not. |

On each series there is a whoel thread when you can upload the bets so if you don't want to know them don't open it.

Ususally for shows like BB, XF and I'm a celeb there is a topic for odds updates - I dont remember seeing odds in titles, except for the odd time.

Well obviously I have never been around on this particular forum during a series but I have lurked on a couple of others who tend to post betting odds in thread titles all the time ...
