Default St Trinians

Anyone heard about this new Brit film coming?

Starring Russell Brand, Colin Firth, Richard E Grant, Lily Cole (supermodel), Kathryn Drysdale (Two Pints of Lager), Stephen Fry, and new talent Gemma Arterton.
Also Amy Winehouse is rumoured to be starring.

Looks like its going to have a pretty decent cast.

It's all over the press. Why they want remake a classic film I will never understand what can you do to improve upon perfection. They were films of there time and don't need to be brought up to date because they still work even now.

Quote:
Lily joins St Trinians

10th April

Lily Cole has been named as a cast member for the updated version of St Trinians.

The supermodel, 18, is a dedicated pupil in real-life and despite her modelling commmitments recently achieved straight As in her A-level examinations.

Ealing Studios has also announced more cast names: hot on the heels of the box office hit 300, Lena Headey will play new teacher, Miss Dickinson; Toby Jones (Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets) will play the school's Bursar; Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones' Diary, Calendar Girls) will be the Matron and Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings And A Funeral) will play Miss Bagstock.

The six new cast members will join Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Russell Brand, Caterina Murino, Jodie Whittaker and Stephen Fry on set.

The film is produced and directed by Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson and is written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft.

The film, about a group of ungovernable pupils saving the school from bankruptcy, will be released next year.

It's even more amazing they want Lily Cole in the film, she is no beauty

I read in Deadline, the magazine which is made on the reality show, that Lily is playing the class Swot.

There is a pic of Kathryn Drysdale in uniform holding a teddy.

It says in my Reveal mag that Nadine from Girls Aloud was shooting this film, while Jesse was with this woman.

It looks really good, I love British films!

MISCHA IS IN THIS FILM! I don't know why no one has mentioned it I'm soo excited

And supermodel Lily Cole! This film is going to be great. And how can anyone say she is ugly? She looks like a doll!

Her and Mischa at the Cannes film festival. I don't really like how Lily looks here, but then again standing next to Mischa would probably have that effect

Remakes, remakes, remakes

The film industry deserves to die.

they won't invest and nurture new writers, so instead they remake old movies that are classics, the remakes are invariably rubbish and this one won't be any different

Original talent - RIP

The film looks really good, and funny aswell. I know is a remake but it seems pretty good and funny for one.

The review on Radio 5 was awful.

The reviewer said the film should be left in a corner and never been seen again. Basically he thought it was a big pile of dogs poo poo.
