			If a TV program is shown from 05:00 to 05:30 on Channel 4 that is not appropriate for children does it have to be edited for C4+1 bearing in mind that the watershed ends at 05:30?

			I doubt Channel 4 would show something inappropriate for kids at that time, if that was the case.

			Yes, in the same way that repeats aired before 9pm where the original is aired after 9pm are always edited.
