POP’S LILY ALLEN has been dumped by Chemical Brother ED SIMONS - weeks after losing their unborn baby.

The Smile singer, 22 - who suffered a New Year miscarriage - was last night said to be heartbroken.

The couple’s five-month relationship hit the rocks as they battled their grief by taking a £3,000-a-night holiday in the Maldives.

They tried to patch things up on their return to the UK - but following a series of bitter rows millionaire Ed, 37, told her: “It’s over.”

A pal of Lily’s confirmed last night: “They tried to make things work but couldn’t.

“The miscarriage was a horrible experience for both of them - and in recent weeks the mood between them had been really strained.”

The friend went on: “Lily is really upset things haven’t worked out for her and Ed.

“She had talked about settling down for good and having a family.

“But there is a big age difference and the heartbreak they had to cope with was too much too early in their relationship.”


Lily discovered she was pregnant just a month after she and DJ Ed began dating.

They met after she went to a Chemical Brothers gig in London’s Trafalgar Square in September.

At the after-show party Lily pointed at him and cheekily declared to chums: “He is going to be my boyfriend.”

The singer first saw him perform when she was 12 - after her comedian dad KEITH ALLEN took her to Glastonbury.

The pal said: “They hit it off and things seemed to be going really well.”

The Sun exclusively revealed Lily was pregnant in December - and that she had re- arranged her work schedule to fit around the birth.

She even vowed to quit her party lifestyle to be the perfect mum.

Last night Lily’s spokesman refused to comment on the split.

me too, i feel so sorry for her. I know someone who has went through several miscarriages, it must feel horrible to actually have it happen to you. she's had enough to deal with latley, i hope she's ok
