Madonna has auditioned for Britain's Got Talent.
But unlike the world-famous pop queen, talent show contestant Madonna Decia has not got a record deal. The 32-year-old is sending money to her family in the Philippines every week and is struggling to make enough cash to fly her two daughters to the UK, having not seen them in over six months. She brings judge Amanda Holden to tears when she says: "I have had to make this hard choice to leave my children behind so I can come here to make money or they would starve. "If I do well in this competition it would be life-changing, not just for me, but for my kids and it could be the chance for us to be together. Now I am singing for my girls and their future." The aspiring singer launches into a rendition of Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, blowing the judges and the audience away at the Manchester audition. Holden weeps: "I know you were singing that song for your babies weren't you, and you do not need to worry because I think you are going to go such a long way in this show and you'll get that money to get your children on a plane to be with you because you lady, have talent." The judges also get more than they bargained for when a father-of-three auditions for the show. Ex-Army driver Glyn Carpenter, from Plymouth, strips to just a thong while singing to Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy. The second show in the new series will be broadcast on Saturday on ITV1. http://talent.itv.com/(Britain's Got Talent) Story Here |
