Default Fear Factor

Yet another reality TV show coming to our screens. Article from today's Media Guardian:

Sky One taps into Fear Factor
Jason Deans

A UK version of reality format Fear Factor, in which contestants must confront their worst fears to win a cash prize, has been ordered by Sky One.

British contestants will be taken to South Africa in May to endure challenges that could include climbing into a pit of worms, eating a jar of sheep's eyeballs or climbing a tall building.

Big Brother's producer, Endemol UK, will be making the 13-part, one-hour series.

Richard Hopkins is to executive produce with Andrew Norgate taking on the series producer role.

Sky One is already broadcasting the US version of Fear Factor, in which contestants compete for a £35,000 prize.

Endemol is considering tweaking the US version of the show for the UK, by having the contestants work in teams rather than individually.

£35,000 to eat a jar of sheeps eyeballs? Not for £350,000!!!! Gross.

Remember what happened to the poor chap on the Norwegian version of Fear Factor? Click here to refresh your memory.

IMHO anyone applying for this programme is either mad, stupid or desperate (or a combination of all three!)

This means there will be absolutely no shortage of people applying then!

Personally, give me a few people sleeping/eating/pacing around a small compound, learning how to cook and use a mangle. Get them to and , try to look as if they are everybody's friend whilst they stab them in the back , and watch them simmer with , plot and scheme, sink into apathy, or just fall in love!

Seems like a winner to me!

Did anyone see this Tuesday night?
Honestly, I have never seen anything like it in my life.
For 50,000 dollars they had to eat cow brains. Im sorry but anyone who does that has to be 'weird' in the head.
It was disgusting

Oh My God! - just when you thought it couldn't get any worse!

Contestants to eat maggots in latest version of Fear Factory

Contestants will have to eat maggots, cockroaches and a pig's uterus in a South African reality TV show. They will also be thrown into a rat-infested pit and forced to bathe with scorpions and millipedes.

Filming for the South African version of Fear Factor will take place in Cape Town, beginning on May 6.

Producers are not giving away the details of the full range of challenges facing the contestants. But tasks may include diving for coins in a tank filled with rotten squid and sleeping with snakes, reports News 24.

Big Brother producer Endemol is to make a British version of the show for Sky One.

Sky One is already broadcasting the US version of Fear Factor, which has shown people climbing into a pit of worms, eating a jar of sheep's eyeballs and climbing a tall building.

YUCK!! I've suddenly completely lost my appetite!
