Default What Twists Would Be Good On Launch Night?

Last year we had 11 girls on launch night (i personally didnt like that, although it was a really good twist!)

what could we have this year?

hopefully something that doesnt involve the next weeks nominations as they over-did that last year, wasn't very shocking!

i think they should have a challenge where someone ends up either evicted, or where the consequences will last until the last day

The all girl launch was stupid!? God knows what it was trying to achive. BB:CH's with John was ludicrous he had been in for about 4 hours ans secured a place in the final!

The girls launch was the worst thing, the twists in BB8 were much better, maybe they looked bad because the launch night was.

i dont think there should be any fast passes to the final... yer maybe it will get a few viewers in to see who gets the immunity... but it doesnt necessarily mean the PUBLIC want them in the house.

i think it should be something thats going to shock the house even before the games start and something that wont make the viewers go "FFS"

lol

true, but i also dont think they should mess around with the nominations this year unless its like maybe once in the series... the noms are ace when they can vote properly

I think the twist this launch will be the HOH competition. After they all go in, BB or Davina speaks to them and they do the competition. It kind of explains why the launch is longer. Thats just what I think

But its most likely that or something very similar because the seris is said to be based on competition.

I have an idea for a launch night twist ;

16 Housemates
Big Brother In Charge

Big Brother Calls A Housemate To The Dairy Room

'Hello Housemate ,
You Are A Big Brother Contestant ,
You Must Fight The Next 13 Weeks To Win
However
You Are Currently The Only Big Brother Contestent
You Have 11 Hours To Decide Upon 11 Other Contestent.

Housemate, To Sum Up
You Have 11 Hours To Select 11 Contestents To Live With You Over The Next 13 Weeks ... On Every Hour Big Brother Will Call You To The Dairy Room On Every Hour Where You Will Select A Contestent At A Time.

Is This Clear?

Thankyou
& Good Luck
The Smallest Man Can Win The Biggest War'

In All The Housemate Selected Has 11 Hours To Go & Pick 11 Housemates To Live With Them.

The 4 Housemates That Are Not Selected Will Then Not Be Known As 'Contestents' Instead 'Housemates'

Throughout The Week The Contestents Have To Impress The Housemates.

The one Contestant that least impresses the housemates will be evicted live on channel 4 the following friday.

Its a little ruff but what do you think?

I like that. Similar to an idea I've had for a while, except yours is better thought out.
My idea was to have say 20 ish potential HMs and the public vote 12 in to be full HMs. But your way of having one HM doing it is better I think

This is my idea.

- 16 housemates enter but when they reach the bottom of the stairs there are 2 doors both saying "PUSH HERE" on. They decide which one to go in.
- There is only space in the house for 13 housemates so 3 will go through the other door. When the 3 have gone through the other door, that door becomes locked and the rest enter the main house as usual, or if the house fills up before the second room then the front door to the house locks.
- The room with 3 housemates is the white room, and its the twist they did in BB Aus a few years back but I'm not sure if my take on it is the same or not.
- They live in this room and everything is white. The housemates are aware of them and they can watch them on the plasma.
- They have to complete a series of demanding physical and mental games and there is a leaderboard for the three of them.
- On the Wednesday after launch, the results are revealed (live) and the winner can join the house straight away.
- The remaining two face the public vote to save as 'Britains Choice' to enter the house on Friday. The person with the fewest votes is evicted.
- In a further twist, throughout the series, 'Britains Choice' is a mole and on the website, the public vote for particular actions for the mole to do (similar to that of BB USA), for example the public choose the housemates that Britains Choice gets to nominate, and gets to choose who Britains Choice will argue with etc.

that would b ace! but not like girls first boys second or anything like that... it would be mixed.

and on the sunday night, two of them would have to leave the house.

another good idea would be that NOBODY ACTUALLY LEAVES big brother... that each housemate who is evicted would go through to a SEPERATE house, not just divided from the main one by a flimsy wall, but really seperate so that the main housemates would have NO idea about it, until both houses have equal housemates in them and the british public would decide which house is to be kept on.

the remaining housemates would then be evicted, although the winning house can save ONE housemate from the other house and big brother would carry on with the winning house!

I really like the idea that 'BigBrotherMad' posted, it's really diverse and seems entertaining, too. It would also tie in with the presumed theme of 'Battle', wherein you're battling with others to secure your place.
I really like that...you should work for BB if you always come up with ideas like that

Not if it was subtle like last year you wouldn't. And to prevent that, two identical 'porch' size rooms before you push the other door open so when you do open the door you aren't in either the house or the white room.

but the doors would have secondary doors further on so that you would have to go through them and when you get to the secondary doors the other doors would close behind you....

...thats how i could see it working anyway

i would love to see the house in total darkness when they enter, with just one candle lit in a candelabra or something. the house would be completely dirty - dust and mud everywhere, and by the front door there would be aprons, and mops and broom, etc. and before they could do anything or have the lights switched on or are allowed to see the rest of the house, they have to clean the entire living room (the other rooms would be normal). i don't think they could do it this year but maybe for BB10 or 11.

Another one of launch night twists i have is;

16 housemates

However For The First 72 Hours Of BigBrother Not All Housemates Would Come Into Contact.

There Would Be 4 Groups Of 4.

At The Back Of The Garden There Would Be Four Mini Rooms These Rooms Would Have A All The Essentials Like Toilet And Shower, Uncomfertable Sofa Beds.

Housemates Would Recieve There Food Already Cooked From Bigbrother and each group would be allowed 2 hours a day in the garden.

Now then heres for the twist
Every 24 Hours A housemate from each group will move in to the house, at the end of the 72 hours there would be 4 housemates left.

The housemates that had moved into the house have to amongst themselves pick 3 of the housemates to move inn whilst the remaining housemate is evicted.

In eachgroup the housemates would be completely diverse for example; we could have a 50+ upper class , with a young person who lives on a council estate , both of these housemates have strong views on polish people so another housemate in there group would be polish we could also have a religous christian in this group, these are diverse and guranteed for arguments.
