Default Opening of Euro 2008

This is possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever seen in my life. Why are they opening Euro 2008 with cheesy presentations and music. It's laughable.

Anyone else watching it

completely pointless ceremony though, can they not get on with the football - cant believe Mark Bright on bbc just said it was "quite good"

Thanks.

I predicted in the game BigSister set up that it'd be close wins for Czech Republic and Portugal.

I thought Switzerland vs Czech Republic was a game very low on quality and that the Swiss were unlucky to not get a point out of the game.

It was a pretty brave but in the end a vital decision by the Czech manager to take off Jan Koller. It did surprise me a bit seeing as Koller has been the focal point of their attack for years now but he looked pretty dreadful today, the service he was getting was poor but his movement played a big part in them not testing the Swiss keeper.

The one good point for Czech Republic is their defence, it looked pretty solid throughout but they cannot just rely on that.
