It just so happens that in the past the best and favourite housemates have been male. Psychologically it makes sense, males choose the relaxed humour way to communicate whereas girls form networks and cliques - the latter being more likeable.

Yes. I really think it will be Kathreya too, well if anyone stood any chance it would be her lol. I mean she is kinda like Samanda in a way. For example when housemates like Charley and Chanelle had fights in BB8 Samanda's faces where priceless, they where so sweet and innocent.

Kathreya has that same face.

Haha, sorry, the first post is gone. I accidentally posted it twice, and so I decided to try and delete one of them. But in the process I deleted both of them. But here's what my post said:

This topic has been talked about numerous times before, but I'm still a little curious.

Out of all the 8 winners we have seen so far, only 1 has been a woman and that was all the way back in 2002. If you include Nadia, then 2 women have won, but Nadia is technically a transexual.

So is it finally time to see a woman win Big Brother after 6 years?

I think it's time we had a "character" popular or otherwise win BB. Those that entertain be they badies or goodies should be potential winners instead of mr or mrs nice guys or someone with an an affliction that wins due to PC voting.....



But No the public vote the characters out well before the end.....The last character that I can remember that won BB was Brian Dowling.....He was not my favourite (Helen was) but at least he earned his win....

Choice of characters are weak this year. Kat is like a doll you might find in a buy something for a Ł shop just a one trick pony. Nice lass but nothing more.

Luke on the other hand is a character but may well be pretty stale towards the end.....We shall see.....I also like Becks uninhibited which makes the potential for an entertaining character also...

Kat was picked way to early by the public to be a winner coz she is small and says "cookie power"?? Maybe next years housemates will say stuff like "jims jams" "im a nutta" etc etc and the public will lap it up. Kat is a lovely woman, but a true big brother winner?

There shouldn't be a certain timescale on having a female winner.Just because we haven't had in a while, doesn't mean we automatically have to have one this series.If there is a really entertaining and good female housemate, then sure I'm happy for them to win but if it's just the sake of gender then nope.

It doesnt matter if they are male or female. As long as the housemate has entertained the majority of the public, and has proved themselves a worthy winner then they should win.

Well Aisleyne and Samanda have been the closest of being female winners in the past 4 years, yet the didnt get good % to win, so maybe it will never happen ?

kat wont win i dont think,and why should she,because she is nice,and shouts cookies,sorry but no,shes quite boring,i dont think luke will win either because i just cant imagine it,i think it errrrrrrrrrr,i really dont know actually,i cant see any of the girls winning,i for some reason think mikey will win,dont ask me why but i do,use are all going by the betting odds about kat,they got it wrong last year,theyve got it wrong plenty of times,well just wait and see.
