Young people can have very good voices.
It's not his age, it's his voice.
Perhaps the song would be good if he got singing lessons, or adjusted his lack of pitch/tuning.

Pitch is the sound of the note.
Whether it's high or low, or whatever.

Tune is a succession of notes, and whether they're in the same key as the instrumental, or even as each other.
