Default Launch was NOT Live

Did you know that the launch was not live?? They started recording at 8.20pm as we saw it at 9pm.Filming finished at 10pm as we saw it at 10.40pm

Found this out at Big Brother Direct who was at the launch

here is the full time schedule

8:21pm: Big Brother goes live in a minute.

8:25pm: They are now showing a VT of auditions and zero tolerance.

8:28pm: There is a hidden zero tolerance room, ash tray is confirmed as smokers bench. There is a huge wardrobe in the posh bedroom

8:29pm: Housemates have to buy tokens to use straighteners.

8:38pm: Housemates have entered the house

10:01pm: All the housemates are in.

Ofcom rules it must be broadcast with (at least) 15 min delay after swearing in the BB7 final

Wow, I knew there was a delay but didn't think it was that long.

Makes sense though, the local residents do need peace.

I didn't know the delay was that long. I thought it would be only 15-20 minutes.

I've been to the evictions before, it always feels live, cos by the time you're home it's all done! (Live a couple of miles away)

Big Brother can't afford anymore 'cokups' and it's an awful shame, because most of the BB Audience light the 'spontaniousness' [thats a word i've made up] of what can happen at any given moment, in the house.

Losing the 'live' touch did probably dent my thoughts on the launch night.

It was, the timing was only delayed.
It was live because if Davina mucked or anything like that then she wouldn't be able to do it again.

It was live, strictly speaking because it was filmed infront of an audience. Even if it was filmed 50 years ago as long as it was infront of an audience it would be live. You could argue that any show is live to be honest.
