The bit I've bolded isn't thieving. That's common sense.

Eavesdropper, just like the lady said. It was none of his business, he's just intent on singling Sylvia out like he did with the making noise at night thing. He's got a nasty streak like that, he holds a massive grudge against her, probably because of Alex.

I think the difference here is the fact Sylvia had lied about the biscuits so made her taking of them pre-meditated theft, by definition.
Mohamed, as Shaun has said, is guilty of being selfish or greedy, but as he had no pre meditated plan to take something then lie about it missing, he can't be called a thief.
Either way, Sylvia's attitude and others who knew of this were shocking and a real insult in taking advantage of a blind man. I doubt Mohamed would have done this had he been confronted about his coffee hiding.
The only person who has singled out Sylvia is the mean bitch herself, and yet she still has'nt offered Mikey an oppology of any kind, despite admmiting herself to STEALING.

How was he an eavesdropper? She was talking about it two feet away from Mickey. She only called him an "eavesdropper" because he's blind. If it was anyone else, they would have saw her, as well as heard her.

Calling a blind guy an "eavesdropper" is a bit stupid anyways, because of all his other senses, (like his hearing), being heightened. He knew exactly what Sylvia and Jennifer said.

Mikey does not single out Sylvia! He does not see, but he can hear very well and he hears her voice over everyone else! If people are jumping up and down, but not talking, he cannot tell who it is! Sylvia has a big mouth! She thinks she is better then everyone else because she went through bad times and war!
She is hiding the things to look cool to a few, but is looking like a fool to the rest!
