Everyone has an opinion on the housemates and their behaviour in the house, what's right and wrong about someone and express love or hate for certain individuals. But when housemates come out and have their interviews they always say, "It's not what I expected," or "It's different actually being in there," or "You really don't get what it's like to be in the house unless you do it yourself."
Can we really judge what the housemates do once they enter the house? As an audience, we have the benefit to oversee almost all what's happening. Inside away from access to the media, it's impossible for the housemates themselves to be aware of everything that is said and done in the whole house. The housemates have only the view they get from their own standpoint and the opinions of others. As media savvy this year's housemates are (and they're the most media savvy housemates there's ever been), they still don't see things the same way as the audience. If you were in the house right now would you definitely have the same opinions and views on housemates you've expressed on here? Are the things you say about housemates, both positive and negative, things you'd like/hate to have said about you if you were in the house? I really like Luke but I'm prepared to think that my opinion may be different if I was in the house with him. I like Rex but if I was in the house I might think he was idiot and put him up for eviction every week. I'm not especially fussed about Maysoon and would happily vote her out as soon as she's up, but in the house I'm sure I'd probably find her a really nice girl. I probably would still find Mikey a bit annoying, though. For myself, I'd like to think I'd be mostly laid back with just a dash of bitching where justified. But I would never actually be really sure just how I'd behave or react to other people and situations in that particular and specially designed environment. |

Not sure what how I'd react to the HM's if I were with them, I'm a great beliver in you can bring the best or worst out of people by ones own actions.
I think I'd definately warm to Rachel, Kat, Rebecca and Darnell too, I'd definately see through Luke falseness and I dont think Mohamad would impress me either with his manners. But, I dont know how that would go untill you could actually interact with them and who'd influence who the stronger. I'd definately have a game plan, and it would be to think up as many jokes, comedy set ups as possible, at least one good un per day to make a HL show. I'd also make a special effort to listen to anyone that needed a time to share a problem and I'd be very conscious of gosipping about people as vindictively as what Ive seen on most BB series. Sure everyone can moan once in a while from the ears of the target but, its got to be fairly motivated and not cruel, balanced on facts not presumptions and other 2nd hand gossip. Above all, I'd try to be me friendly kind and hopefully naturaly respectful, but, who knows in that enviroment completly scrutinised, its easier said than done. Thats what makes it fascinating viewing you can learn how to communicate with people different to yourself in so many ways by just studying how best not to go about it, and BB comes up with the goods every single year ![]() |

I'd warm to B-Block. they're my sort of group ; I'd see through Luke but hanging around with Rebecca in her funny mood would be a cracker.

In a way viewers are like back seat drivers. A pain in the neck who think they know it all but know very little...
![]() What posters on forums say on the forums my bet is they would not dare say to the face of a housemate..... If I were in there instead of being a viewer no doubt I would see different sides to people other than that which is shown on the highlights and live feed....After all even the live feed is subject to massive editing as not all housemates can be listened to or seen at the same time and there is a 20 minute delay for editing purposes..... Game plans don't really work because if the viewers rumble one they kick out a housemate at the first chance and if the housemates rumble one they nominate at the first chance... The only workable game plan is to not have one. When circumstances arise you can influence someone just take that chance and then wait for another quiet opportunity.....Plans can be detected and will almost always end in tears... |

I imagine I'd warm to Darnell for his truth & honesty, but then I imagine myself hanging around with the likes of Dale, Rachel... maybe even Bex despite not liking her as a viewer.

yerh..i agree with that!
they always say...we as audience dont see the actual thing as we are not in the house... but we see the big picture of whats happening..... each housemates...only see things from there point of view..and the interview is when we hear what each HM has to say!......... and as for me being in the house...i think i would pretty much have the same opinion on most of the HMS...except rex.... going in there would defenatly bring up a different side of you..because you will be living with the kind of people you aint usually around with! so i guess i dont realy know how i will react in there.... |
