Default What the HELL is the world coming to?!

Well, as I boasted in April, I was moving to a new school because I was sick of the ignorant teachers and the same crowd of friends everyday.

Well, I was talking to my friend tonight from my old school, who informed me that someone has been excluded... for attempted rape! And he is my age... 14!

Just asked around to check if it was true.. my sister said Police were at school last week, but was makes it worse is that it was three guys against a girl. How disgusting is that?!

<< Makes me go like this

I understand what you mean.

There was a boy in my year who apparently tried to rape a girl in the year below [I'm in Yr11, final year] and now he's only allowed on school premises for his exams.

It's awful, he's treating it as study leave.

The main problem is a lack of discaplin for young people. Im only 20 (21 on sunday) and i have noticed how laid back this country has become.

What ever happened to the days where you were smacked across the face if u done somthing wrong. My parents allways smacked me as a child and i have grown up properly.

It's a shame really. i reackon the world was better off when people were executed for crimes and theives hands were cut off and such.

It never could be, its always been bad we just haven't heard about it because of the lack of the media. Its why these "problems" only appear to have started in the last 20 years or so.

That's a really horrible story... I don't know how some people can live with themselves when they do something like that.

But in a way, I kinda agree with you there... if people don't get punished, they're just gonna keep on doing stuff. This is probably a pathetic example, but in school, kids are really wild and childish, but all the teachers can do is shout, which doesn't really do anything. The kids'll just do it again... they should let punishments be a bit more severe.

The law stops us from being able to give any type of discipline that would work
TBH i think any type of discipline given to these people is always shown off and adds to them looking "hard" so what ever you do they brag about it
my view on ASBO's is that it is an Award for anti social yobs they galavant it around like they won an oscar..

A horrible story, but everyone is commenting on how it's a modern thing thats happening?

Did you know rape of minors has been happening since cave times? Of course, it was made even worse in the past because it wasn't considered 'rape', it was fully allowed for a man to have nonconsensual and often violent intercourse with young girls.

Centuries ago, that was the role of young girls. Some as young as 5 were forced into brothels and used as entertainment.

It's a very sad thing indeed, but certainly not a new thing the World is coming to.

How very sad for the girl, rather than think about the boys who did it I wonder how she is coping and how she is feeling.

Innocent until proven guilty. There has been no mention of arrests, charges or a court case. Just a complaint.

I can remember 50 years ago being told by a mate of a mate of a similare school incident. One girl three older kids and a stick to smack her legs with to make her submit....Nasty story don't know if this guy relating his school days was telling the truth but have no reason to disbelieve him either.

I can remember my school days in spite of strict teachers who could in those days use the cane there was quite a bit of violent bullying ending in many a bloody nose....

The people that do this sort of thing as sick as ******, i'm getting sick of what is happening in our world these days, crime has risen tremendously since corporal punishment, i did a essay on it, youths these days treat asbo's as a good thing, which makes me mad, as they shouldn't, IMO, they should bring back corporal punishment, and kill the fu**ing bas***ds who do this. And sorry for swearing, but it makes me really mad.

That is utterly sick. I hope the girl is okay, and I hope them boys get a proper punishment for that. Who in the right mind who ever want to do a thing like that?! When somebody says 'no' they mean it!

Yes, it is sick. There are some crazy people in this world that would do anything. I bet this boy was told to do this for a bet, because its unusual for a boy of this age to do something like this randomly and without being told to. It is not a game! It is twisted!

Only since then? I've been surprised for years and years. And even more recently.

That story is truly horrible though.

What the hell are kids doing to themselves? Doing that at age 14 or any age is stupid because theres obviously going to be a consequence. 5 year olds already know swear words, 14 year olds are raping other kids, whats the world gonna be like in 10 more years?
