someone pointed this out on d:s,and thinking about it its so true

when has a black female contestant ever been popular,lets be serious now,

alex
sylvia
charley
nicky
vanessa
makosi
amma
nirindar
adele
anoushka
melanie

all of them basically had no support

why can they not get a black girl thats sweet and sound and not a bloody bitch aka all of the above

makosi was the ethnic girl to reach the final in a vote to win and she only got 8% of the vote which is nothing basically,and i personally think if orlaith had of made the final she would have beat her.

and it was also pointed out that in the night in bb6 it was

all up,it was the 2 black girls that got the most votes

but it was also pointed out that black male contestants are always very popular

what do you guys all think about this,personally i think its not about ethnicity but the fact that all the ethnic girls big brother have picked have all been bitches and the guys have just been great.

interesting post ... good point. I did like Makosi, but this year they took severely damaged Alex on board.

I want Darnell or Mo to win this year

(I am a caucasian woman, by the way ... it is nothing to do with ethnic loyalty ... they are just the best two people)

I think its basically follows the trend of the BB voters regardless of their race. BB fans usually are more keen on attractive guys, and not so keen on attractive girls. Now the fact that they are black increases it, because of the voters demographics. They are mainly young caucasian females, and they find young black guys cool, thats just a trend of society, and I think in the outside world, black females and white females, dont get on really well in te UK. correct me if I am wrong, I am not from here, just analysing it logically!

i see your point,but as you said,most of the ethnic girls big brother seemed to have picked have been bitches,bitchy or gameplayers which general big brother viewers dont like

as someone said above i also loved makosi untill around week 5/6 when she claimed she was preggers and thats also when she started being severly bitchy,so no wonder she only got 8% of the vote in the final,so yeah even orlaith probably would have beat her

i also loved alison,she went out far to early

True, they pick some horrible black females, especially since BB6. But I though vanessa was very sweet, but she got booed badly. I found it weird! But since then, they have picked, Charley, Sylvia, and Alex. They were never gonna be liked.

I think Orlaigh would have beat her because she was so unpopular on the outside, while Orlaigh was pretty average with support.
