Default Transvestites/Transgender/Transexuals

What are everyone's views?
Do you think it's right for a man to dress up as a woman, or a woman to dress up as a man? Do you think that they really were "BORN" to be the other gender?
etc.etc.

I HATE how when a woman dressed as a man it is seen as humourous & funny, but when a man dressed as a woman it is deemed unacceptable & weird. It really grinds on me.

i'm not going to be one and it really doesn't concern me if someone else wants to be - it's their choice.

Yes, IMO it can be funny if a woman dresses up as a man/ man dresses up as a woman, but like, on the off ocassion for a laugh. If it's more than once, it's not funny I reckon

Its their life and their choice. Of course someone can be born in the wrong body,I even think theres some scientific explanation for it.

My Biology teacher was talking about it one day but I wasn't really paying attention so I don't really remember. *slaps wrist*

A transvestite is very different from a transgender.
A transvestite is someone who is cross dressing for fun or for shows and a transgender is someone born in the wrong body, you can get a surgery.

I believe you can be born in the wrong body. I don't have anything against tranvesites, but I do think that if they're true to what they say - and don't just have some fetish - they should get the op.

Yeh transvestites are the gender born in the wrong body, there isn't much they can do about it... its science. Its very close to the brains of gay people actually.

It's their life so let 'em do what they want with it. It doesn't hurt anyone so what's the problem I say.

"Yeh transvestites are the gender born in the wrong body"

Sorry but that is wrong. Transvestites can be gay or straight and they are in the right body. They just enjoy or have a need to wear clothing of the opposite sex.

I think its there choice. If they aint happy with which gender they are then its their right to "change" it.

I don't have a problem with them, its their choice and nobody should look at them differently for it
I have a friend who dresses as a woman but he is really confused. He doesn't know what he is or wants to be, he has been told by psychologists to have a sex change though. I just think it ashame for him to be confused like that

I very much doubt anyone would be told to have a sex change lol. But anway, each to their own and I think some people are born more female/male in the wrong body. I knew a little boy who was so girly from the moment he could talk. His parents didnt encourage it and hes grown up to be gay and extremely girly. Le val or someone has studied it and there are differences in brain chemistry of gay people. Though I think there are others who have those desires from experiences rather than born that way.

I read somewhere that what gender you are has to do with a certain chemical being released in the womb. Sometimes though that chemical doesn't get released and the person is born with the body of the opposite gender. When this happens those people should be given nothing but love, acceptance, and understanding, no matter what choices they make.

We're not talking about homosexuality... that's a completely different topic entirely.

I wouldnt say its a completely different topic entirely, the two are often interlinked. It wouldnt be foolish to suppose that biological influences would apply to transexuals also
