Dan has established himself as the peacemaker in the Big Brother house.

While the others bitched and brawled, Dan acted as mediator.

The 30-year-old gay hairdresser – nicknamed “Gandalf the Gay” by Victor – has earned a reputation as the sensible one of the house.

On the infamous “fight night”, Dan was the one who stepped in to separate Emma and Victor, carrying Emma off to the bedroom and attempting to calm her down.

But he has provided his share of entertaining moments too – particularly his flirting with Jason.

Dan entered the house declaring that he only fancied straight men.

He immediately set his sights on Jason and was soon rubbing oil into his buttocks – at the Scot muscleman’s request.

Straight-talking Dan has also kept viewers amused with his put-downs – branding Jason a “Scottish misery from hell” and telling him: “My God, darling, compared to you Macbeth was a breeze.”

Dan once claimed he didn’t want to win and said he would walk out if he made the final.

“It’s not the winner who’s often remembered. It’s not cool to win this show,” he said.

But despite his protestations he has made it through to the last four.

He has already had one shot at fame, singing in Hull electro-pop band iceHouse.

The dance group have performed on the same bill as Will Young, Atomic Kitten, Blue and Liberty X.

Some people are saying this year's contestants will fade from the public conciousness just like all the others before them, but I just KNOW we'll be seeing a lot more of Dan. I have a very strong feeling about it and I'm not just saying that because I...(gulp, confession time) love him.

He could set up his own show and call it something like "Dans boring show" and im only saying this because he really has'nt done much in the house but where all aloud our opinions.

IMO he has been the most entertaining housemate with his dry wit and great personality - he's got that X-factor celebrity appeal already. If I was Nicki Chapman I'd be saying "The camera loves you" to him, because it does.

I'd think he would make a great talk show host, maybe he should have his own show called " Dan's debates "

I'm still thinking he's gonna use his new found fame to push Ice House's career. I see him more as a performer than a chat show host.
