He is actually a good singer and is trying - he isnt doing this to win. You can tell that he isnt. He is doing this because he has the chance to and people are voting for him cos hes a good singer and a nice guy.

Yeh but the whole point is to find a pop star... Daniel has no future after this so there is no point of him being here taking someone elses place... he will never be a recording artist.
I do want to know who is voting him... I reckon its mums and 50+ women. My mum loves him and she gets angry when I bring reality into it!

He does have a future after it, just not as a recording artist. Well he might make an album like Jane McDonald or one of those cheesy midlife crisis albums where we see the adverts all the time where they're stood in front of a window with a camera the same quality as teleshopping (basically full of covers). The show will significantly raise his profile and he'll get a lot more offers even if its just for pubs & clubs. It will pay the bills and he won't be cleaning pools anymore.

He is a good singer, better than a pub singer, he just isn't a pop/rock material. I think he would do well on a cruise ship.

grrrr.... i know this is off topic but, it realy annoys me when people say to find a pop star because it's not about that its finding someone with the x factor!!! pop is a genre of music and not everyone there is that genre. sorry lol just had to get that off my chest lol

but back on topic, i think he can sing but he doesn't really have the x factor for me. if it wasn't for his sob story then he wouldn't have made it on the show... trust me.

Well actually to me Pop stands for 'Popular' and indie, rock and R&B can fall under the category of pop.
The person who wins needs to be a pop star or they will not make it... simon wants a pop star, someone who will sell lots of records and be popular. Yes they need to be able to sing but they need to be able to fit into the market... hense why the 2 girl bands are gone, because they wont fit in... the buisness is saturated with girl bands at the moment.
