Default X Factor - Will Louis Walsh kill off JLS?

Quote:
X Factor - Will Louis Walsh kill off JLS?
It looks like JLS could be following in the footsteps of Bad Lashes and Girlband next Saturday.

The Louis Walsh curse seems to be ending the dreams of the X Factor bands as he tries to overcomplicate their performances.

Girlband's version of Heal the World was blasted by Simon Cowell on Saturday but if Louis would have had his way it would have been much worse for the Bristol 4 piece.

Simon said: "As for the big production number, I wouldn't have been surprised if polar bears had come out, and dolphins, and children.

He blamed Louis: "There were too many gimmicks. You're playing on sympathy and it was very corny."

Girlband's Layla told the official website they had to stop Louis' crazy plans: "Simon's comments made us laugh so much because there were supposed to be children holding guinea pigs and rabbits on the stage with us. We were like; 'Nooo! Please...

"As an animal lover, I was worried that it might have been a bit cruel, and of course, we knew it would have been a bit over the top."

JLS are stronger singers that Bad Lashes and Girlband but their cheesy matching hoodies might ruin their street cred and lose them valuable votes.

Could they be going home next week? Only time will tell...

I hope not but I think he will. He doesn't exactly have a good track record for being a good mentor does he?

Well, he didnt kill off Shayne ward, after he lost nicholas and chenai early in the competition! He actually chose some of the best songs that year, if I remember correctly!

He lost three of his acts within the space of 4 weeks, the fact you didn't even mention his fourth act speaks for itself.

In series 1 he lost 2 groups in consecutive weeks, with the others being runners up. The same happened again in series 3 except his final act remaining was the novelty act that everyone laughed at.

Then in series 4, he had three potential winners but screwed everything up.

Who was the 3rd,I dont remember! All I know is he lost all but 1 act early on and thats my point. Just like this year. BUt he won with his final act!
And he didnt screw anything up in series , he had Kerry, and she was over rated, the public turned on her, nothing to do with he songs. Same went for beverly, she had some of the best performances that year, and got voted off, nothing to do with Louis!

Did Simon do well when he had the groups? Both his acts went home early, and Journey south finished 3rd. SAme last year with his groups! Nothing new about them going early, it happens every year!

Philip is the act you forgot.

Kerry was series 3

Last year he had Beverley, Niki and Daniel. Any could have easily won it. Beverley gave some of the best performances of the series but some dodgy song choices (e.g. Beautiful by James Blunt) tripped her up along the way and lost her fans.

I dont even remember Daniel! Unless he is the dude who did build me up buttercup! If so, I will give you that. Horrible song choice, but not as horrible as simon in week 1
And Beverly was in the bottom 2 one week she outsang everyone, that was just the xfactor voters. And Nikki went as far as she could go, I dont think that was a strong team at all, if you compare them to this year!

Not compared to this year but I do think they were the strongest category last year ... then again that wasn't hard

Daniel is the one you're thinking of. Niki started off really well and as one of the favourites, but lost the plot in the middle and Louis completely screwed her over. Beverley was hit & miss each week which is why I think people didn't vote for her.

The groups and the over 25s have never fared that well on the X Factor, but I'd be surprised if Louis lost JLS soon, I think they'll reach the top 6 at least.

I think they should get rid of Louis, he's too dated nowadays. The only thing he knows how to do is make boybands get up off a seat at a key change. Get someone in who's fresh and who's not stuck in the past. When he tries to attack simon over music it's laughable he knows nothing of modern music.

I think it time they got rid of the groups and took out the ageist element and just have the boy verses the girls.

If JLS gets knocked out early, then there really is no point to the groups at all!
It would just be waiting for the inevitable all the time! So I think they are the last hope!

I don't think there is any point to the groups, they are never going to beat the solo singers. If any group or 3 or more singers make the top 6 they have done really well. I think it is much harder for them to make it through the show and they have to work harder.

I doubt JLS will be going home next week, unlike the other two groups they actually seem popular with the public and are giving good performances.Louis has only really focused on them from the start of the live shows and I cannot see him doing too much wrong with them.

I agree in general with what you are saying, but I don't think he neglected the girl bands at all. If he did then that is what they would be telling the press he was a good mentor. I believe whole idea that he let the the girl bands down is part of the Cowell propaganda machine to belittle Louis and the other judges.

Cowell isn't as white as snow!

There's not doubt Louis will stuff it up for them. To pick 'Feed the world' was a joke. It's too slushy and gushy. Considering there are so many other Jacko tracks he could have picked Louis has to take the blame for the mishap.
