I'm sceptical to. but i'm sure that davina wouldn't have said it if it weren't true. last time was a lot different as celebrity big brother, indeed big brother in general had a cloud hanging over it cause of the past race furore between jade and shilpa. now that is long past by so I think davina is more likely to be telling the truth.

I think endemol are on a budget. they will have some micro celebs as you put it and a couple of more well known ones who they shall pay a lot more money to.

I'm not denying that it is more likely to be back this year than it was last year, but she said it would be back last year, and it wasn't.

Until C4 announce it in a press release or a winter programming line-up or something, I'm still not taking anything as confirmation.

Okay fair enough. do you think it is likely for channel 4 to announce something sooner rather than later cause of what davina said in that interview?

i'm sure quite a few big brother and celebrity big brother fans will be writing to channel 4 for confirmation of what davina said.

C4's Viewer Enquiries department have said it's returning, but again, they have been wrong before.

C4 will be prepping their winter schedule as we speak. Yes, Davina has said it's returning, yes, it's known celebrities have been contacted for it, yes, various newspapers have said it's back, but at the end of the day, C4 can changed their minds last year and they could do it again.

I'm still waiting for someone high up at C4 to confirm or for a press release to be issued before I get excited or anything.

Having said all that, if it is returning, I don't know why they don't just announce it? I suspect they're waiting until they announce their winter programming line-up.

Well I would like to know for sure, it would be a shame to get all worked up with excitement only to then find out it is not going to happen. davina may then be called a liar twice in a row.

We don't know 100% sure it is coming back until C4 announce it which will probably be for their winter schedule
but I think its safe to presume that it will be back

They're not going to hire Davina for a show that isn't going to happen are they? Davina has said its happening, so its happening.

Well her plus the thing on David Irwing's site about being contacted for it, is offical enough for me.

Plus myself and voodoo child on D.S. have both been told by seperate staff members on the show that they are to return for work in early Jan.

Channel 4 sent out e-mails to ex-BBBM regulars a few weeks ago asking them to attend a pilot for "Big Brother's Big Eye" which is going to be aired during CBB in the winter.

According to the second link, which is going what a celeb (well, micro-celeb) said on their site. They've got their final line up already and a spokesperson, according to the site that's reported it, has said that whilst contacted he wasn't a serious consideration, they didn't deny it was coming back.

Anyway, I expect official confirmation soon. Since we were told about Hijack in october last year and October is over after today.

No i am not a member of DS, although I do commend how much effort is put in by members like yourself to keep us all informed on what is happening in the world of reality tv. but i will say that this forum fairs very well and am more than happy to be a member of it. i haven't much time for forums anyway as i'm working away for long periods of time. today i have managed to get some free time so i am posting lol.

I am not aware of whether 8660 posts is a lot or average on DS as i only look in on there to find out stuff which interests me from time to time, but not often as i prefer here.

I like it here, but I'm only new and since BB's not on at the mo, not much to discuss other than X Factor which I've only watched 3 weeks of this year. 8660 is not a small number on D.S. but it's not anywhere near the largest (over 70,000 I believe).
