Default Ruth: I don\'t want Alex to win!

Quote:
Ruth: I don't want Alex to win!
SPANISH siren Ruth Lorenzo said she doesn't want best pal Alexandra Burke to win The X Factor.

The 25-year-old rocker said although she's best of chums with the 19-year-old warbler, that she'd rather scoop the main prize.

Ruth, who has been back on fighting form since being in the bottom two a few weeks ago, said she was bemused by magazine headlines that suggested she didn't want to win the competition.

Ruth said: "I want to win this competition so bad.

"I love Alexandra - but of course, she knows I want to win too. I am Alex's best friend - but I'm a not stupid girl!"

It came as quite a revelation to me that she didn't want Alex to win, what is Ruth doing thinking that she wants to win the show herself.

It's a classic SUN story..... the idea is you read the headline, and think what a nasty bit of work Ruth is without even thinking.

Its ungracious of her to single out a contestant like that even if they are best pals.

I highly doubt she just came out with it. She was probably prompted, or a lot of it has been taken out. This is how I imagine it went-

reporter- "so, do you want alex to win?"
ruth -"well..."

Its like laura not wanting diana to win, rachel not wanting ruth or alex to win, daniel not wanting rachel to win etc etc...........and I'm sure Alex wants to win deep down!!
I read that ruth had said 'you have to be realistic, I don't know whether I can win' in an article last week. She may feel she has to sound more positive, or be brushed aside. And the press ignored her for 6 weeks anyway. Her and alex are pals..........but are competing too. Like eoghan and diana.......

That's an interesting point, if she doesn't say and think she can win it, then she stands no chance of winning the show, and by being negative she could even lose the phone votes which she is going to need from now on.

I think if Ruth goes before Alex, she will say in an interview she wants Alex to win, they all seem to get on really well with each other.

Well.. Thats unexpected. And a bit dissapointed in Ruth if it's true.

However she didn't say i don't Alexandra to win. She just said she want's to win, that all, everyone wants to win at this point of the game because they have got so far. Good Luck to ALL the contestants left.

Why are people saying its bad? If she wanted someone else to win instead of her IMO, she shouldn't be there.

I Mean i bet she did say " I want to win " But i doubt she say " I Dont want Alex to win " .. I Mean i bet she probably do want her to win. But she don't. If you know what i mean.

If she wanted someone else to win then why would she be there? Just to have a fun ride?

If she said it maliciously though, I'm dissapointed.

The title of this thread is so misleading it's untrue. Of course Ruth would rather win!

Pathetic.

I think that Ruth is a better singer than Alex and i think that either Eoghan Quigg, Ruth or Diana should win the xfactor
