Default Big Brother 7 in doubt

Endemol boss Peter Bazalgette has hinted that Big Brother may end next year, Teletext's 'TV Plus' reports today.

Channel 4 bosses were concerned in the early weeks of the series by the negative publicity the show generated in the press, which included Kitten's rebellious behaviour and the infamous 'fight night', which led to the removal of Emma from the house.

Bazalgette said: "Big Brother VII is a matter of discussion, the contract ends with Big Brother VI and we will get together with Channel 4 after that. It all comes down to casting."

Despite this, a senior Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "It is far too early to talk about number seven. It depends how people feel about it next year. There are lots of options. No decision has been made."

This is something we are all going to have to monitor carefully.... and if need get our pens out and start writing letters to C4.., and encourage our friends to do the same.

Sorry about any typo's

Well did they expect to get positive publicity with their choice of housemates and the way they treated them. I thought any publicity was good publicity. When they work out how much money they have made out of this year's series - that will have a major influence on whether a new series is made. Perhaps this is their way of getting loads of e-mails saying please have another series so they can use this as leverage.
