Default George: I may go on X Factor

Quote:
George: I may go on X Factor
GEORGE Sampson said he’d love to perform his new single in X Factor – and is in talks with producers about coming on the show.

The 15-year-old Britain’s Got Talent winner revealed to TV Biz that going on the reality series is something he and show's bosses are "considering”.

The break-dancing teen – who is backing Diana Vickers to win the show - has joined forces with X Factor judge Simon Cowell to produce four tracks, in a switch from dancing to singing.

But he’s also set his sights on more TV work – and revealed he would like to mirror Simon’s job by becoming a judge on a reality series for people who do “his kind of dancing”.

George explained: “In America they have America’s Best Dance Crew, which is like the British shows but for my kind of dance. I’d love to be a judge on that sort of thing.”

He also said he dreams of cracking America and becoming like his idol, Justin Timberlake.

But George – who is single - has already got at least one thing in common with the US star – his adoring fan base, who seem to come out in screaming crowds wherever he goes.

And he said his friends love his heartthrob status as much as he does – because it’s a good way for them to get talking to his teenage admirers.

He laughed: “My friends try to get in all the action.”

George’s debut single, Headz Up/ Get Up On The Dance Floor, is out on Monday – which means he is competing against the likes of Take That and McFly to bag the number one spot.

But he isn’t holding out much hope for getting the top chart position, even though proceeds to to Great Ormond Street Hospital’s children charity.

He admitted: “Take That are the biggest band of all time – I think they will get the number one.”

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you, George!

George will be singing copies of his new single in Zavvi stores in Manchester, Birmingham and London on Monday, November 24.
