Issuing a well received performance of "Womanizer" on 'X-Factor,' American Idol producer Simon Cowell's UK hit, Britney Spears walked away with her first record this week.
According to ratings released over the weekend, Britney Spears 'X-Factor' appearance earned the show its highest ratings ever. Several sources have reported that 12.8 million viewers tuned into to see the singer rock the stage. According to Spears' official website, 53 percent of the entire viewing audience tuned in to see Britney only.
Setting the record straight, Britney Spears: For The Record aired on MTV last night.
The highly anticipated talk-fest where Spears talks about everything from her love life to getting back in the studio, is expected to be another ratings blockbuster.
While the actual ratings have not been revealed, several Spears fans chimed in on the singer's official blog.
"I'm amazed at her courage and strength to bring herself out of such a tough situation. The documentary was gritty, raw and showed Britney as she really is, human," one fan wrote in while another was brought to tears.
"I cried at times during the interview. She is a role model to so many because of her strength to overcome the issues she has gone through the past few years."
Britney Spears' new album "Circus" hits stores an online retailers Tuesday.
