Past should be the past-but it's easier said than done! But you should always look forward not back because it can hold you back and that's no good!

it depends on what you are talking about.

I think that looking back allways prepares you for the future.

It should be, and as you said easier said than done:What if certain people won't let you forget ?How do you move forward.

If you cant justify your actions apologise. if they dont accept your apology, well you tried. If they cant move on its their problem not yours

Well said, we all worry to much about past actions, they are what define us and make us the people we are today.

No, it shouldn't haunt you for the rest of your life. But we all have to consider the past when looking to the future. We can learn from our mistakes - but not if we forget them! Right now, this is a very relevant time to be having this discussion.

The past helps with the future but I find it best not to look back, theres no point. You can't change what has happened.

Back in 2004, I was stalked by 1987 and 1994

I was able to speak to 1987, but 1994 slunk away somewhere.

1994 was out to destroy me as it's last attempt in 1994 failed.

I sort of had to muddle through

The other problem was that during 2004 the laws of probability went awol, although I could never find convincing evidence to support my observations.

All I know is that 1994 is out there, with unfinished business.

The odd thing is, I expected 1995 to have a crack, as that was the year I got knocked down by a car, but 1995 is happy to remain in retirement.

Next year though we are expecting 1997 to return on the scene, so talks need to start to appease that year.

Ahh yeh the 2004 problem I think dates back to 1956. The laws of probability were temporarily mislaid and we were left in chaos, it keeps happening periodically and Its a mystery, it is!

It shouldn't haunt you for the rest of your life but it's no better to just erase it from your memory other wise you could be left with a lot of questions with no one else to answer.

My point is it can still haunt you if other people won't let you forget.

You shouldn't forget the past-it allows you to learn from your mistakes and look back at fond memories. But negative things which happened in the past shouldn't be dwelled on-regrets are pointless, nothing you can do to change what you have done.

Good point ,but what if the past is painful ? Is it not best to try to put it behind you ?

Yes it does make you stronger in some ways,ie the more time that passes and the past is not mentioned then you get stronger ,but when the past comes back to haunt you, then you become weak again and the bigest thing is the evil intent of others, who just want you to suffer all the timeand not be happy in anyway.Do you think this is the right thing to do,?or is it as i said they are just evil?
