So basically Adele doesn't gel with Alison as first she thought she might - even though Alison is black. She thought she would have something in common with her - Alison being a minority as well.

Her own words in the diary room

Sad she cannot see beyond her own colour , sad to think if - for instance - Lynne had said " I don,t get on with Adele its because she is black.

The simple one word epithet - racism - rears its ugly head . I think Adele doesn't get on with Alison because she tries to get on with all the others and doesn't see race as an issue.

This is just my opinion having seen the diary room and may not truly represent Adele - I hope.

I haven't seen it, but I can understand what Adeles saying and I don't think it's racist.

If I were in the house and there was another Scottish person in the house, I would probably befriend them first. Also there was someone in the house who was mixed race. I don't think it's as much that Adele is being racist, it's more a case of you are more attracted to people who have similar backgrounds.

Obviously after a few days, you start to mix with the others and find out more about them then race, religion, nationality fall by the wayside, unless of course you are a true racist.
