The wonders of the web provide us with instant feedback on our news coverage on a minute-by-minute basis.

If you see or read something you like or dislike, you let us know within seconds.

Emails, text messages and online comments serve as a constant link between us, at the heart of the Sky News operation, and you, whether you're watching us on TV, reading our coverage online, listening to our radio broadcasts or consuming our output on any of the other many media platforms which are available.

The "Choose Your News" feature on our website and the "Most Searched" lists also give us a good idea of what you're interested in.

And, it seems, there is still a strong appetite for news of Jade Goody's cancer battle. Our stories about Jade top the lists day after day.

As I mentioned in my last post, we have concentrated on the availability of cancer treatment as Jade Goody's suffering has highlighted the issue. We have also explored the celebrity culture as she is someone who has lived in the public eye and is keen for the publicity about her preparation for death.

Most other cancer sufferers don't have the public profile to make the same stance. And most of those who do, choose not to seek the same level of publicity.

None of this glosses over the Celebrity Big Brother race row or the concerns over the reality TV phenomenon.

Nor has the story become an "obsession" in our news coverage. Yes, we have reported the various updates in her condition but we have covered many other stories at home and overseas as well including, of course, the continuing economic, financial and banking problems.

But whatever your feelings about Jade Goody, surely no-one can criticise her for bringing the turmoil that cancer sufferers face to a wider audience.
