Default Freddie: I\'m Not Arrogant, But I\'m Arrogant

He really ran up his own butt. He started off with the crowd perhaps booing him or being against him because he's rich, where he comes from, going to Oxford, etc. Fair enough. But then he started using it as, "I am privileged, no matter what you people do, I'm better."

This is coming from someone who likes him overall and thinks he's cute. I think his little rant was very telling.

Hopefully, he won't show that side of himself again. Even Rodrigo caught onto him going on and on about his background, and almost oppression. Rodrigo really put him in his place, and pointed out that the public will base their like or dislike on him personally. Perhaps, Freddie is trying to tell himself that if people don't like him, it's just because of his background, not himself.

Hello letmein.

I would like to see Freddy stay in the house for a while, his wealth/background will certainly make him arrogant, but then in their own ways nearly all housemates are. I'd imagine that if you asked some of the girls who was the prettiest that their own arrogance would show.

We always kinda support the underdogs in life, when a poor sports team plays a better one people support the underdog, with Freddie we (imo) will see him as the one who is more successful (even if it seems HE actually hasnt done anything) because when he leaves Big Brother he is still secure in money terms and in life terms (I assume he graduated from Oxford). So he will always be looked down upon because we know that he will be fine, and we would like to see the others do better for themselves.

His voice makes it worse, I have a fairly posh accent (I had speech therapy as a child and I learned my teachers accent rather than having my own, (damn my sister for answering on my behalf) and I get stick for it every now and then. It does have a presence which will always make him seem as if he's lording (no pun intended) it over us.

We like to see the more 'normal' person win, look at Only Fools and Horses, we all love to see Dell Boy get one over on Boycie, normal beating someone that is better off than him (not better, but better off - which is another thing to consider).

Its a good thing to have someone like him in there, he will be high and mighty but when he falls it will be egg on his face and we will laugh at it and enjoy it (falls in the house, not by eviction). It makes a much better change than the other housemates that think they are better than everyone else for no actual reason or basis to back it up (Nikki comes to mind).

I hope he does well, but not win, I fear his 'music' will become his idea of more fame....dire.

He looks a little stoned in his picture. Not that I would know that look at all

Don't let my username hint at anything other than that.

Yes I found this very telling and interesting. I agree with your summary

how did you arrive at this? ie "emotionally intelliegnt" .. any examples because it does sound like ballz to me.

The bit I hated with that convo with Rod was Freddie seemed to have a well developed defence strategy for deflecting any criticism of his personality. Huge character floor. He would say "well they just hate me due to my privileged upbringing" and NOT through any fault of his own. He think he pulls that card out a lot in his life because the alternative is that he actually is a total prat. Something confirmed when he raised his hands in the air to say "I'm here" and then lowering them and saying "everybody else is here". Prat.

He gave an excellent summary when discussing the first 2 days in the house. He discussed reactive behaviour in some of the housemates and also was the first to spot the Sophia vs Saffia thing. He also summed up Marcus brilliantly whilst in the diary room.

Who is your favourite HM?

lol..I see through your charade of an avartar... your one of them. The level of condescension required in the belief that someone can be "summed up', let alone "brilliantly" is reserved for just you guys I'm afraid. I'm supporting the specnaz edward scissorhand :P.
