There are extra scenes on the Red Button feature for everyone who has Freeview, Sky or Virgin Media, after tonight's episode, Thursday's episode and Friday's episode press the red button on your remote and you get an extra scene relating to the Stacey storyline.

Gloria who appeared today was in Corrie before. Wasn't she Sarah Lou's social worker or something? I couldn't get that out of my head while she was onscreen

Yeah in EE she's called Gloria but on The Bill she was PC Yvonne. I wonder if Gloria will be sticking around on the square.

It's about time EE had a new family, I think the last one they introduced were the Masood's back in 2008

I wonder if Emma Rigby is part of this new family if the rumours are true she's auditioned?. I heard though that her character was the daughter of Derek Branning who is rumoured to be casted with his other family and tbh I can't see the point in casting new Brannings when the show need new characters and new storylines to freshen things up

According to the sun, Lacey Turners sister, Lily has been cast as new characters Shenice while Tamara Wall has been confirmed as playing the mum, friend of Kat, Martine. Looks like these are two of the new family.

, however the show has way too many strong female characters and it's new males they need...

I really hope it's not new Branning's, there's too many of them already. A new family is just what the show needs for it to get back on track.

This doesnt fill me with much joy. Eastenders can be lousy at bringing in new characters, particularly families (Ferreras, the recentish Wicks's, Denise's family), because they bombard the episodes rather than letting them settle in gradually. And I dont like seeing too much of a character before I get to know them.

That said, sometimes it works fine. The Slaters fitted in instantly, as did Ronnie and Roxy. So we'll see.

Hope Stacey doesnt die!
