Not sure, I think it's only a temporary exit but his contract was only ever freelance.

I won't miss Ricky personally, he's such a deadwood character. Never has his own storylines, there was no point to him really so I can see why they got rid of him. Bianca is the far superior character so I'm glad she's sticking around.

Pleased that Sharon Watts is coming back.

I really don't like this Whitney/Tyler storyline, he is awful and Tony Discipline cannot act, plus I do like Whitney but Fat Boy deserves better than her as she always makes stupid decisions...

Reading the latest spoilers and they are not that bad, some things sound decent.

The Moon brothers are so wooden it's unreal. Couldn't act to save their lives, it's a joke that they're both still there. Such awful characters played by even worse actors. What this show is in dire need of is a huge cull of the cast.

I don't mind Anthony sometimes but Tyler is awful and the new Lucy is irritating.

It was so good to see Hev happy tonight and Shirley delighted for her, but it is sad knowing it's going to be shortlived and it is EastEnders nature after all.

Michael and Derek scene was weird at the end. Michael took the beating despite Derek taking Janine's money and I think there is more to the relationship they have than just Derek bullying Michael when he was a child...

Tonights episode just showed how evil Derek is but I think he is a good character.

Michael is becoming one of my favourite male characters in the show and I like Steve John Shephard.

As much as I know a lot of people hated Heather, I liked her and I think the soaps need the characters like her. The ones who are normal, not involved in all the major storylines but is just a side character. Otherwise you're just left with a cast of murderers, thugs and adulterers.

Shame they couldn't have just let her leave happy, this murder story is the nail in the coffin for Ben. Which is a waste of a couple of characters, to think they killed Kathy off to bring him into it.

As for Derek, I think he's a terrible character and it's a terrible story.

Back in the day gangsters such as Johnny Allen and the one who had Dennis killed were older men running big businesses and had a bunch of heavies and henchmen to threaten victims with.

Here, we have a middle aged podgy man with nothing about him threatening a bunch of people half his age and we're expected to believe they're scared of him.
Tyler, a boxer fgs, and Anthony, along with Michael only had to approach him 3 on 1 and it's sorted. It's ridiculous the whole square is meant to be scared of his hard man routine.

Good to see Michael is back to his old ways, and hopefully that girl Tyler pulled is gonna be in it again

It's such a shame Ben's turned out like this. I wasn't a fan of him before, but the character played by Charlie Jones wouldn't harm a fly and would just prance around his room watching musicals. The character change is too unrealistic.
