The death of Hayley was discovered later that evening, and sent Livia into disarray. She'd spent so much time narrowing down the suspects and punishing the wrongly-accused that she was almost tempted to let Ieva out, but decided that it was best leaving her somewhere she couldn't be harmed. For all she knew, Ieva could've been the original killer and a copycat was now on the loose.

She therefore ordered an immediate lockdown of the facility and announced over intercom that the remaining prisoners would be transfered to solitary confinement. Still reluctant to draw any outside attention, she conducted the transportation in private and on her own, to be carried out in the morning. For the timebeing, the surviving 11 inmates were eating their last dinner together. Livia oversaw the dishing up, before excusing herself to the bathroom.

After Livia left, conversation bubbled up amongst the group. Now largely male-dominated, the guys were quick to talk over each other.
"What is going to happen?" demanded Arnaud in a thick French accent.
"I swear down, fam, anyone tries to touch me I will end them," Luiz darted a look at Arnaud, who'd been eyeing him up since they arrived.
"If we're getting split up, maybe it's for the best..." Julianne spoke up, still a little shaken from the loss of Hayley.

The lights went out.

In total darkness - it was around 6pm in winter time ok just shut up - the group leapt to their feet and began shuffling around wary of each other. Somewhere in the distance, Livia was just walking back from the bathroom when she, too, was thrust into darkness.
"This ****ing budget," she sighed, assuming power had been cut off by the board, as she headed off to the generator room, a little awkwardly and tentatively.

Back in the canteen, Julianne was freaking out. "Netta - Netta, are you there?"
"Yes, where are you?" the Swede replied, reaching out and touching someone's elbow.
"Get your hands off of me woman!" Chenzira shoved her away, tumbling into a table. In the distance he could hear quick footsteps, and a splashing sound. Near the front entrance of the room, Ken and Richard had found the door and decided to head through opposite sides of it to try and find somewhere alone and safe in the darkness.
Netta climbed to her feet with the aid of Luiz, and found Julianne soon after. They hugged each other out of fear, as Arnaud assured them the power would be back on shortly.

Near the back of the room, Demetri had just bumped into a sneeze guard and the rattle of which made most people jump. For the most part, the room was noisy and full of nervous chatter and a couple of heated exchanges, until a single male voice shouted.

"Can anyone else smell gas?"

Livia reached the generator room and found a torch hanging on a hook right next to its light switch. She grabbed it and looked around for some instructions, when the room started screeching with a sudden alarm. She would later admit she pissed herself a little. She tried not to let it deter her though, and knew the lights needed to be restored. She discovered that the system was set to a timer, and although she was no electrician, she could see that the fact that a half-hour window of no power to take place tonight wasn't part of the routine. She flicked a switch, and the room lit up - momentarily blinding her as she tried to adjust.

Off in the distance, a small explosion might not have made itself heard to Livia, but to the 11 in the canteen it was quite the rude awakening. The sheer force of the blast threw Demetri back into a row of chairs, whilst Stefanie and Mariya had their overalls catch fire. Netta ran towards them with some warped sense of maternal instinct and tried patting them but they dropped and rolled around on the floor without her help. Everyone else had legged it for the door, the room now a little lit thanks to the flames that were now consuming the kitchen's deep fat frier and Stefanie's trousers. Mariya had now climbed to her feet and grabbed Netta.
"We need to get out of here, come now!"
"I can't just leave Stefanie-" Netta began, as flames licked their way up the walls around them. Apparently the canteen was quite greasy.
Mariya pushed her aside. "Fine, be a hero," and made for the door.

Stefanie had extinguished the flames on her arms but still had some trouble near her feet, and now her legs were scorching. Netta looked around desperately for something to help and ran for a folded pile of dishclothes towards the back of the kitchen by the sinks. The lights came on, and she felt almost safer for their presence, when she noticed the full extent of the fire's rapid spread. She had time to look at the flaming cooker when the canister inside it exploded.
