TiBB’s intrepid explorer takes a tumble down the charts too, though he was expecting it. After he moved to the other side of the world, we had feared we would lose touch with Ben, but thankfully he’s still around. One voter chose to give him points “because he is a naughty boy”, while another said it’s because he’s now an “NZturtle.” One member said it’s because “he is also fit, and not too young for me to look at”, another agreed, saying they “don't know why I've voted for this horrible bastard, he's nothing but mean to me....must be his devastating good looks.” He earned votes as “he is quite often on line at 5am when I am getting up....plus his moustache is getting fabulous”, “because he always makes everyone feel welcome on the forum, and is a great mod. Plus he loves Hira, which makes him legendary” and because he “makes me laugh so much. I love the banter with him! He's clever, funny, quick witted and fun.” Voters gave reasons like “hello, I thought you had gone? No? oh okay, might as well include you in my list then you big fat lying ******. So yeah, great guy, hasn't been on as much as last time but I can't not put him in my list of ten-members I love the most. Funny, intelligent and committed to the forum, all very good qualities in a member” and “G'WAN THE TURTLE, the picture of him bungee jumping is quite possibly the most amazing thing ever, sound lad..always have a laugh with him” for why they chose to vote for him. For one member, “Ben is a great Mod. He's an amazing and very interesting person. He's definitely one of a kind. I love his crazy irreverent sense of humour. He left a big gap when he went off on his travels, and it's great to see him back posting with us again” and for another he is “my favourite mod, he gets in moods quite a bit, but I like him. He actually has a personality which is good, as many of the mods don't.” One voter said “earlier in the year, Ben informed the members of TiBB that he was leaving for New Zealand and that he wouldn't be online much. At the time, I like many others, were heartbroken at the thought of losing him. Now we all know that Ben was just seeking some attention. He's online most days and its like he never left. I'm glad he stuck around because I think TiBB would be a less brilliant place without him.” Perhaps the best tribute to Ben was this one: “Ben lights up my life on grey days and gives me sunshine in the rain. He’s a bungee jumping zip-a-dee-doo-dah, a board rafting daredevil, a white water wizard, Tibbs very own stunt man. Ben is also a very fine writer and poet and all round amazing guy. He’s one of my first forum friends and now he’s one of my best forum friends.”
