Yes maybe they should wipe all the Top of the Pops with DLT and Jimmy Saville in as if people watch them they may have a fit or put a brick through their tv or die or worse!!!

But on a serious note, I think it's disgusting that once again the police arrest a celebrity and it's now plastered all over the news and headline news to, when the only possible evidence the police could possibly have is that his name has been mentioned by one of the complainants who decided to say nothing at the time that they claim that these supposed crimes took place, but after being questioned for probably 18 hours or something as the police need plenty of tea breaks and toilet breaks etc.. etc.. during the interview as well as asking the same questions to him probably 20 times just in case he may give in and say "I'm guilty"!! and then when DLT and his solicitor have been through all of that he will be released on bail, just like Gary Glitter and Freddie Starr. But no matter what happens, whether he is charged or not, the mud from all this will stick to him for life, and he will be judged as a paedophile for as long as he lives and also after he is dead.

There is a simple way of avoiding all of this unnecessary smearing of someone who could be innocent, and that is to arrest someone without the media finding out about it and one day that just may happen. But not the way things stand now, which is very cruel..

It seems to me that is pure speculation and unfounded assertion, in fact exactly what you accuse others of .....

Isn't that what tyrannical states do - send in the secret police at the dead of night and "disappear" the arrestee .....

Yes, and I'm querying it :

Where's the proof.... in fact where's the proof in any of it ?? Most of it is Tabloid driven media hype designed to sell papers....!!!
AFAIK, ALL UK newspapers are covering the JS/BBC scandal, including not only what I would call tabloids :
  • Daily Star
  • Daily Mirror
  • Daily Record
  • The Sun

but also the compacts:
  • Daily Express
  • The Independent
  • The Morning Star
  • The Scotsman
  • The Times
  • Daily Mail

and even the broadsheets:
  • The Daily Telegraph
  • Financial Times

Whether they are selling more copies of each newspaper, I have no idea, but the "story" continues to be of mass worldwide interest on the internet, as evidenced by a simple Google search.

Please stop this nonsense , you are well aware of the point I was making within the context of my post. You do not need to challenge everything quite so literally.

I think you need to chill out a bit, relax take a bit of time off as you do seem to have posted on this particular thread quite a lot.

Perhaps you need to re-assess how much time you are spending on this forum as you seem to think you are some sort of self appointed sage, bringer of wisdom.

Perhaps you need to get a life instead of spending 23 hours a day commenting on everybody else's

Now go to bed....!!!!!!

DLT has precisely 69% too much hair on his body.

He used to hide children in it, apparently. Like fox news, I report, you decide.

Exclamation Jimmy Savile: Exposure Update - ITV1, 10.35pm

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-previe...gation-1446869

Quote:
Seven weeks ago in The Other Side Of Jimmy Savile, detective turned investigative reporter Mark Williams-Thomas buried the reputation of the Jim’ll Fix It presenter forever.

His new film is expected to provide evidence that Savile’s abuse of girls as young as 10 spanned four decades.

It will also reveal how he was able to get access to places like Broadmoor and Stoke Mandeville Hospital and reveals how his TV programmes were engineered to give him unlimited access to children.

The question of why the rumours and gossip were never acted upon just isn’t going to go away.

Arrow Jimmy Savile: BBC could axe Top of the Pops repeats

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012...le-top-of-pops

Quote:
The BBC may axe its re-runs of classic editions of Top of the Pops on BBC4 as a result of the Jimmy Savile scandal.

Vintage shows from the 1970s featuring the disgraced presenter have already been pulled from the schedule, and last week BBC4 shelved an episode presented by Dave Lee Travis after the DJ's arrest.

The BBC is currently airing editions of the chart show from 1977, but BBC4 controller Richard Klein said he had not decided whether to continue into 1978.

"It is complex and it is difficult to judge," Klein told a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch on Wednesday.

"These are judgments we are making on a case-by-case basis. It requires us to be cautious and careful without overreacting, to take into account public sensibilities and legalities, and hopefully we are going to get it right."

He added: "At the moment we actually haven't scheduled 1978, so we'll take a view. We have only done it the last two years [beginning with 1976] so if we didn't do it again it wouldn't be the end of the world and audience figures have declined quite markedly.

"It has done a good job, whether I choose to continue or not I don't yet know."

Asked whether the Savile fallout was a factor in his decision about the 1978 reruns, Klein said: "Of course it is. How else are we supposed to respond?"
It should be axed anyway - TOTP was 90% boring .....

I wonder if one day we'll discover Saville himself was abused as some abusers are victims of early abuse themselves.

Either way, even after all this time i'm still having difficulty wrapping my head around the fact that it was feasible for one human being to commit all these crimes so easily in "public". It's like a bad movie.

Post Jimmy Savile: Exposure Update, ITV1, review

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...V1-review.html

Quote:
Unlike that first Exposure – which was a tour de force, full of new and shocking and direct and cogent allegations of criminal behaviour – this second one really had nothing new to expose at all. It was a narrative of the case against Savile, rather than being evidence of it. That journalistic thinness was a disappointment – but did serve to show what a brilliant job Williams-Thomas and his team had done the first time around.
I didn't miss much then .....
