Do people at eviction shows(the crowd) and Davina count as being viewers because they are actually on the TV while its happening but they are watching it too? It might sound stupid but I always wondered.

There are 5110 homes in the UK with around 11,000 individuals with a special box off BARB. They have to record their viewing habits on the box which are automatically sent to BARB which then undergo a series of procedures to get an overall rating for a show. Its said to be very accurate although theres no way of telling. Viewing figures are recorded in 100,000's and millions which is why we always have something like 0.7m, 5.6m, never 3,959,492. With about 100-300 people at an eviction, the figures won't be affected. |
