Default TO ALL THE WOMEN - YOUR OPINION ON THIS

http://www.joecustoms.com/forums/vie...167413#p167413

This is marcus his own words of how he thinks women should be viewed.

"Um, if there's any woman on the entire planet that makes an effort to dress up and look nice that doesn't want to be complimented, then I've yet to hear of one."

What is your interpretation of this?

Do you think you dress up so men will compliment you or do you dress up to feel better?

Or are you justl living your life so that men can pay compliments to you>?

Imo i think its both. Every woman wants to look good whether its for themselves or men. And yes every woman wants to be complimented.

He is 10000000000000% correct, why do you think women get implants spend Ł100000000000000 on make up, fake tan shoes and all other sorts, if not to get compliements by there female friends or males out on the pull.

Any women who says otherwise is either lesbian wanting compliements from other women or talking bollo cks

If Marcus said you look nice when Noirin first comes out after having dressed up nice, then thats fine, I think it only became an issue when he kept on saying it, all the time, then it gets creepy/annoying. So, yes, being told you look nice is fine but being constently told it and leered and pawed isn't!

Marcus is right..

Some women will disagree.. They are talking BS!

Then again some women don't want to look nice, they're the type that chop people up and store the body parts in the freezer..

Yes, he's right. Although I'm sure there will be females who say he's wrong. And like VickyJ says, they'll be lying.

I can't be bothered to dress up, life is too short. I like dressing the way I dress if people call me names that's their insecurities not mine. I don't wear high heals because I would break my neck I just want to feel comfortable as me and people get to know me for me and not my personality. I don't believe in taking people on how they dress, I think people look great if they dress how they want to and not dress up. As for compliments yes it is nice but why do you need other people to dictate how you should feel if you are happy withing you shine and people are drawn to you anyway.

It depends who the compliment is from.

Then again I only dress up for weddings and funerals so I'm not looking for compliments.

I agree to an extent, being over-complimented is when it gets a bit weird.

Don't you think people could get to know you if you dressed up? It's not like I never slob around in jeans and a teeshirt because I do. It's nice to dress up though.

Complements become a form of agression if the complementer has been told they are unwanted.

Don't get me wrong I like to dress the way I like, I don't wear that much make up if any and I am more of your hippy girl - I feel silly dressing up its like its not me and I don't really want to attract attention so I dress in a way I am happy with - I am not being big headed but never really had problems getting attention but i was in a abusive relationship a long time ago and it repulses me to see men gawping at me, that was all I was a piece of meat to be played with. I am more interested in intellectual conversations now and what makes people tic, helping the planet and more of a spiritual growth for enlightenment than making myself look like a peacock. I hope I shine to people in the right way and not to satisfy a man.

I see what you mean. Although I have to say I've never found dressing up means you're unable to connect on an intellectual level. We're all different, eh? Be a sad, boring old world if we were all the same.

That is true. You are right it does not mean you are not intellectual if you look pretty and dress up far from it, nothing pleases me more than to see an intelligent women who looks fantastic . Its just my opinion of myself and the way men have been to me in the way they behave. I want to get involved in their manly chats too but when you meet some men its like they feel you would not have much say on the environment and cars, chemistry, physics etc. I get bored talking about shopping and what to wear and things like that.

Men or women - we all like compliments - makes us feel good! That is natural!!

As a woman I like compliments from men or women makes no difference - actually - on reflection - maybe it does - because I would be more inclined to believe it rom another woman because she wouldn't have any ulterior motives.

Acceptance of compliments - is not a green light to anything else!!

Sorry you went through a tough time, but they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and that seems true in your case. You sound very interesting, we should have lunch sometime :-)
