Default What A Pathetic Task

These people at ch4 have got us all for mugs. How come out of all of those questions only one got it right. Who do they think the people in there are, to be sad enough to be counting step's tree's and rooms and mirrors and the worst of all housemate's in alphbetical order, when under pressure. No the answer for everyone is the producers want to keep the devide to save face and to hell what we all think.

As I just said on the other thread, the original press release said that the questions were going to be about each other not the house in general.

I thought the killer question was easy though and Kate really should have got it right.

Still I suppose under pressure nothing is as easy as it could be.

Hopefully they'll get another chance next week.

They didnt stand a chance, they've been sitting there all week bb could have given them a chance to practice at least. I hate this years bb. It's run by a load of arrogant idiots, who don't belive in giving people a decent chance. Everyweek it's been negative with miserable people. They've really done it this time. The muppets.

Sorry, LEE, but I'm with Steve_o on that one. If you're a devoted fan you may have been able to recite all 14 in alphabetical order, but for most of us, without a pen and paper, it would be hard. Also, there are 3 A's, and is it 4 S's so tracking through the alphabet to jog your memory about everyone was almost impossible.

I thought that C4 was going to respond to public opinion and giving them easy questions, but obviously I was wrong. I mean, you almost had to be a sad git to get the questions right!

The result of it all is so funny, the masses living in poverty whilst the Tory businessman lives in wealth and opulence! I think Tim is the loser on this occasion though!

I'm left with the impression that Ch4 are having a laugh at our expense. How else does one explain this years debacle? Talk about going for the ratings in the short term.

My main fear is that once bitten twice shy, going by the current reaction of the various forum boards. I, for one, won't be spending so much emotional energy on BB again. Or hardware for that matter.

Yes, my systems are all rigged to make the most out of this years programmes. And yes they are still switched on. BUT and this is the point, I'm not watching it!

I paid for the live streaming, which I still can't make work reliably, but I won't bother again!

I have rarely paid for any voting, text alerts or merchandising. Or for any other of the catch-penny ideas they have wheeled out this year. And why? Because it no longer run for the fun of it. Its Big Business, which is fine in isolation, but I'm simply NOT enjoying being made fun OF.

An easy question but so easy to make a mistake when under such pressure the mind can easily blank out.

I am almost shaking with anger at the stupidity of tonights task. One person on the rich side and 6 on the poor. Words fail me...I want to swear....but can't here.....So off I go and have a good sulk and kick an imaginary cat.....:bawli ng:

I think there is a certain truth in what you say Steve-o. Ch4, despite what they may say to the contrary, must have been stung by the criticism of the divide and I firmly believe it was meant to stay up for the whole time.

I feel desperately sorry for Kate. I've tried to do that questions myself and found I was missing people out - and I wasn't under a time limit, or any other pressure. I know the question SOUNDED easy, but it was quite difficult given the circumstances and what was riding on it.

At least it sounds as though they'll have another chance next week. Timbo doesn't seem overly thrilled to be on the rich side on his own. At least he'll be able to get some hair dye uot of his budget - the ginger's starting to show through Tim !!!

Watching E4 now. they are so angry and want to rebel. Jade just had a quarrel with Adele because Adele has got cold feet about being a rebel. (she want's the money).

Now they are talking about doing nothing so the viewers won't have a show and refusing to nominate.

The problem is it's what they've been doing since the bars went up, doing nothing. I hope they do walk out good on them, I'm fed up of watching people ruining there live's so the fat cats at channel 4 can become extra rich. It's not the people who come out that need booing it's the scum that are running this programme.

There setting people up. For God's sake someone in that house see that. They've manipulated tham and made them to feel special out of 100.000 plus who tryed to get in, so they will not go. For God's sake wake up, your being used, the poor ignorant people.

Adele showing her true colour trying to say that jade should rebel alone if she feels that strong about the situation. Jade has got more sense than to fall for that one.

United they could stand but with jellybabes like Adele and Alex I think the uprising will fizzle out with just a lot of hot air.

The sound has been cut again and I doubt it's because of bad language.....

I think a group of them have just gone into the diary room to tell BB about how they are going to rebel.

i think that the task this week aimed to split the group the way it has. it makes it so much more interesting for there to be only one person on the rich side. tim is the one that is so desperate to be on the rich side, and he is, so he shouldn't complain.

ever since the divide went up, all there's been is bitching, bitching and more bitching, and i'm finding it tedious (especially jade), so maybe things might liven up a bit now. especially with this revolt thing. i'd absolutely love to see them try and knock down the divide.

I hare to say I told you so, but I told you so...

The bars were meant to stay.

I just hope they do not rebel as they will just put more reserves in. I would not want them giving C4 the satisfaction.

We need to make our feelings known to the sponsor, ITC or anyone official who can threaten to pull the plug.

I would not care if it went off the air tonight, I'd be more pleased that people stuck to there convictions and did what they thought was right. I know it looks bad, but they are the ones who really know. Do they really need fame and 70 grand that badly. Time will tell. I'm also starting to think that this is a test of public opion to see how much were prepared to put up with it also. I've read 1984 and this kind of thing is what's happening this year in that house. It's also happening to us the mugs outside. Those people at ch4 have gone power crazy. I hope to god the housemates don't let them win. We have a chance also by boycotting voting, like stick's has said.

I can't see them putting 5 new faces in as Tim said he would walk also if the other 4 were evicted. The show is at to an advanced stage for replacements to work. It would all be over within a few days.

They need to rebel and make these BB planners eat dirt.

Poor housemates...poor Kate. There was no way she could have got that question right in the amount of time she was given, she was very brave and very unselfish to risk her place for the others the way she did, but she was under immense pressure because after all her answer was the key to the bars staying or going.
Lets not forget that she has been suffering on the poor side for the past two weeks, and not only with such a poor diet for that amount of time..because as she also pointed out the odd treats of fattening cream cakes, pizza, Indian meals and greasy fish and chips is not exacty ideal even if it was more substantial than the basics they were use to, but also with nothing to use her brain for, and for such a long time too, everything has slowed down making her feel 'thick'. Well we know she isn't thick and we know she has suffered so under these circumstances I know no one else would have got that seemingly easy question correct....I think you were a bit harsh to say that she should have Lee.
I agree with you Oldgit to have the added pressure of getting the S's and A's in the right alphabetical order aswell as all 14 names, and under the circumstances as I have just pointed out, and especially in the silly amount of time given, was next to impossible. Had they all been allowed to study for this task I am 100% certain it would have been a very different story.
I agree with everything you have said Steve. C4 are absolutely lapping this all up...The bullies rear their ugly heads again!
Not only are BB putting those poor housemates through hell, but they are making the viewer uncomfortable too. Big Brother has become a very depressing programme to watch lately...so I am no longer such an avid viewer....who needs it? Surely only the very sadistic among us actaully enjoys watching all this suffering.
BB are not treating these people very fairly, although on the surface it appears they are. They seem to think that just because the housmates have signed up to follow a bunch of ridiculous rules in an equally ridiculous set up they can be treated like labrats almost, in the name of Big Brother, this is not the Big Brother I want to watch. Sometimes I think the programme is being broadcasted purely for the sadistic pleasure of Endemol, C4 and the BB Producers not the viewer.

Just a final thought about Tim being on the rich side of the house, if I was him I would get exactly the same type of food as the poor housemates have and eat with them at the same time too I would buy any alcohol but not drink it and I would also buy all the the real necessaties likie toothpaste and tobacco (for Jonny) that I could feesably fit in every available pocket for next week. All his would show a bit of solidarity and would be very commendable in my eyes. He is just a tad too greedy to do something like that though I feel. Alex showed how selfish and greedy he was too, he told Tim to but a £100 bottle of wine and live it up as much as possible because that whats he would do. I think he would too.

A quote from PJ:
I was already for a revolt earlier...I am already for bed now.
Trouble was BB hadn't given them their clean bed linen yet...typical!

Question: How many batteries will be left on the chair for the rich side now...anyone know?
(I do know the answer myself I just wondered if you did...just for a bit of fun!!!)

Three isn't it? Blimey Honey you're very good at getting your points made. I wish I was that coherent. I couldn't agree with you more. Adele is sooooo clever, the way she's nice to everyone and then back stabs them PJ has definately got her number though, and it looks like he'll nominate her on Mon. Lets hope Kate and Jonny follow as well.

Sorry chilledbootz I have edited out the bit about Adele lashing out at Jade because the post was just a bit too long with it in, I have now posted it in The Housemates in Adeles section.
Thanks for your comments though!

Yes three is the correct answer...well done!

You have hit the nail squarely on the head there, Honey. I was all geared up this week to see the bars come down and am SO disappointed that they have stayed up. All we can 'look forward to' now for another week is watching a load of miserable people surviving in miserable surroundings and eating miserable food. Oh, and probably doing lots of bitching and whinging too and I can't say I blame them under the circumstances.

Good TV? I don't think so.

Well I think I might just go out and enjoy this lovely sunshine instead...who needs to watch doom and gloom on the telly?
.....well....I tried!!!
Oh well I suppose it will be worth keeping one eye on the box just to see if the housemates do revolt or whether BB give them a task midweek to maybe give them another chance at getting those bl*ody bars taken down. They or us would not be expecting it, so it could be quite a good move. Better keep those eyes peeled just incase then...oh well topping up the 'tan' might just have to wait until August after all.

YOU WILL ALL REPEAT THIS MANTRA

BARS ARE GOOD, WE LOVE THE BARS, BARS MUST STAY

The glorious focus group is most wise.

If there is another task to bring them down it will be for Jade, if she is still there to solve an Advanced intergral calculus equation in 30 seconds

Remember

BARS ARE GOOD, WE LOVE THE BARS, BARS MUST STAY

The glorious focus group is most wise.

The task was a bit mean, but it might be good for Kate that she got it wrong - she put herself out for the rest of them and they should be grateful. And Tim all alone on the rich side, now who said it was impossible to have money and not be happy, mmmm let me think!
