Happy new year everyone by the way

Yesterday when we were watching bbc before 12, they were showing a few things from 2009..and my grandad said it had been a bad year, everyone in the room had agreed other than me.

2009 Has been one of the best years for me.
So although it hasnt been good for the country or anything it has been great for me.

Passed my Driving test in Janurary
Got my car in March
Turned 18 in may (able to go clubbing)
Made some good new friends in june
Met a nice girl in july sadly it only lasted a couple of weeks.
September i got my job
Since then ive been having a great time having money..and meeting new people.

So did anyone else have a good year, in what was a bad year?

I say its generally been a poor year, but these are things Ive done in 2009:

Do my GCSE's and get 9 out of 10 passes
Prom
Leave school, and start college
Get my braces in
Made so many close friends in these 3 months at college
Got the college to open again after government said they would shut it down
Got a job in TkMaxx (even though its Xmas temp)
Got my first and second paychecks
Turned 17
Went to a Windsor, 16-17 year olds club.
Got into a Over 18s club on Christmas Eve when i was 16.

I just got mine yesterday, and it is bigger than any of my others by far.

I've had a pretty bad year...

The marriage with the Mrs was on the rocks after I found out she was having an affair

But we had councelling and thankfully have been back together again since September.

I've lost a lot of money through silly investments, we still have to pay the bloody morgage, the kids keep asking for money, the dog died last summer, my wife was made redundant...

not a good one!!

Well, it's difficult. But I still loved her. And we had to work it out, there were a lot of tears shed and sleepless nights. She's my soulmate... I couldn't have her out of my life. It was tough, but people make mistakes.

I dont think I could live with someone knowing she has cheated. Maybe thats just me. But love does weird things to people.
Eg. My sister was on and off with her boyfriend even though he cheated on her twice in 6 months. She kept going back to him. Thank God, not anymore, I told him where to go!!

But its good to hear everything is better though!

About the other stuff like mortgage, i bet 80% of families have the same problem, and the reason i got a job, really was to stop borrowing money from parents, makes it easier.

Good to the max.

-Started the year in Barcelona for New Year's Eve with a few friends.
-My niece was born, she's so cute.
-I have the best marks at Uni, I'm top student of my degree and got though to second year.
-I've had the best work experience ever. It lasted 4 months, it was awesome. Planes are really my life.
-Amazing holidays in Corsica with my best friends. I've done camping for the first time in my life because I'm used to go to fancy hotels so I'm definitely proud of myself.
-I fell in love for the first time since my break up with a 2 years-relationship I had with a girl. But this girl is not available at the moment so I will have to wait.
-I had some of the most deluded parties and met some crazy people. Pure fun.

That's it for 2009, roll on 2010.

- Going to college and am predicted good grades.
- Generally a great ending (xmas/new years)
- Amazing summer, did loads and had great fun.

Negatives:
- Dad died.
- Brother died.
- Generally been very low and cried a lot more than other years.
- ****ed up a friendship with the guy I love...but this now seems to be on the mend.
- Pretty much hardly see anyone in uni/college terms, everyone's up away around the country.

Overall...could've been worse...could've been a lot better.

- Got a new little cousin
- Re-decorated the house
- Mum is much more financially stable after a few low years
- I've made amazing friends
