The Big Four soaps enjoyed bumper ratings last night, according to overnight figures.

Over on BBC One, EastEnders nearly matched its Christmas Day numbers, drawing 10.79m (39.1%) for its episode at 8pm. BBC Three's repeat at 10pm added 715k (3.2%). Doctors' first screening after its annual festive hiatus put in 1.83m (20.1%) at its usual time of 1.45pm on BBC One.
