X Factor USA is set to launch with Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Paula Abdul and Jay-Z as the four judges, reports the Daily Mail. According to the paper, Simon is already having “his people” house hunting for Cole in Los Angeles where she will visit in the summer to meet her future colleagues.

“Simon has asked Cheryl to join him on the panel for the debut of American X Factor and she’s delighted,” a source told the paper.

“He has told her she will be an enormous hit and Cheryl is very keen as she wants to crack the States both as a singer and a TV personality.

“She plans to travel to LA in the early summer and Simon will introduce her to a lot of influential people in the industry.”

A close pal added: “Simon thinks Cheryl is really warm, honest and funny and that she will be a huge success. Her name is definitely in the hat.”

Meanwhile rumoured judge Victoria Beckham looks have lost her chance after poor reviews of her guest judging spot on American Idol. “It is about as likely as her winning the lottery,” the source says – ouch.

US Rapper Jay-Z, who recently expressed interest in wanting to help Cheryl break into the states, is said to be lined up to appear alongside Cheryl as is former Idol judge Paula Abdul.

The first series of X Factor USA will debut in the autumn of 2011.
