Default I just saw a jumbo jet do..

.. a complete U-turn over our clear skies. Was heading due SSE and in a short space did a total u turn and headed back NNW. It was at max altitude (as they are up here). Why would it do that?

wouldn't a jumbo take about 50-70 miles to U-turn? (almost out of horizon) or did he handbrake it? was he chasing the Eurofighter you saw or going after the UFO?

PS - what is Ceiling height for a jumbo? report him for bad driving if you noted his number

It probably was a 50 mile u-turn. Its a big sky up here. He was heading for Edinburgh and now he is heading straight back towards Iceland?

We only get a few planes per day here.

Sure - many Jumbos land at EDI just behind the UFOs - EDI has such a long runway for the aliens and huge planes

Are you sure it was a jumbo doing the handbrake turn or Nelly the Elephant?

Was it bright pink?

In this current climate it is slightly worrying. I would hope that it was a military plane.
