Default Is BB becoming a role model for my kids

My 2 teenagers love BB, i have been watching it to try and understand the fascination.
OMG!!!!!!!!! i do hope they do not turn out like Josie, Sam and John James etc,
do they ever stop whinging and moaning ( my god they are like my teenagers...lol)
But seriously, some of the housemates i think are very nice and decent people like Andrew, Dave and Steve. But some of them i have seen and what i would class as quite nasty and wonder were they get this from in life, is it the sign of the times or just play acting for the cams, i do hope it`s the latter.
Any one else got an opinion?

the bb format does have a tendancy to bring out the worst in people. that's why people like it. it makes us feel better about ourselves.

Rachel Rice from the 2008 series served as a really good role model. Other than that, I'm not quite sure.

What? maybe a good role model for how you should act at the age of 86.

I agree entirely! I also like Dave and Steve - Andrew, mixed, can be annoying but a decent enough young bloke!

It's not the ideal role model in my opnion, it meant to be a bit like a gladiator situation, where gladitors are thrown into the ring to maul the weaker ones. This year that hasn't happened thank goodness.

It just amazes me the amount of time my daughter spends watching BB and then chatting about it on Facebook, Twitter and MSN. The "you should be reading a decent book comment" just gets a blank look and a roll of the eyes.
Am i just getting old

Yes

I highly doubt your kids would view John James, Josie, or Sam as a role model. They probably just find them amusing to watch (like most people).
