Default What is the most you would pay for an album?

Whether it's downloaded or physical. Poll coming.

Oh. Discuss. That sounds nice. Discuss.

I have paid 30 pound for a rare one from Denmark. So price doesn't effect me much.

Think the most I've ever paid for an album is £12 :L

But if BTW is a double album I can see it being around £20 which I'd be ok paying, think it depends how much I like the artist

I tend to download (yes illegally) albums at first to see if I like them. If I do, I'll invariably buy them later.

But I rarely have money as it is at the moment anyway. So I usually stick to HMV's reduced/offers - today for example I got two albums for £8.

I think it's difficult for me to justify what I do though when I only like one or two singles from an album, and therefore refuse to buy it. I'm still breaking the law and enjoying SOME music that someone's worked on, but since singles are practically a dead thing physically (and I don't use iTunes) I can't see that changing.

But once I have a job I suspect I'll be more generous with what I spend

Think most I've paid is about £12. But I have a very rare Oasis single of 'Slide Away' that is worth like £60 at the moment or something like that. Got it off a DJ.

Depending who it was... £11 - £15. I suppose more if it was special.... but it would have to be a very, very rare case! but I voted £11 - £15 :3

I paid about £13 for the special edition of Oasis - Time Flies. That was only for the track 'Whatever', the CD of about 20 live songs and the DVD, I've got the rest on their other albums.

I wouldn't really want to pay much more than that, but depending on who and what it was, I may be tempted.

Only paid like £7 for a Keane album ages ago, but since then I just download music for free.
If I really like it, and want to support them, then I'll buy it.

If that includes box sets, then yeah, I'd pay more without a doubt.

I should have specified :/ I mean a generic, 10-15 track studio album. Not a greatest hits, double-disc bonus edition, or super-sexy-comes-with-a-poster-and-seven-personalised-eggcups edition.

I have bought Rare LP's and Rare 12" singles from America & Japan
then copied it to 24Bit CD.

This is a great Site that has many Rare CD's LP's and 12" singles
http://eil.com/

No Computer needed.

Sony make a double CD Player/Recorder
and when you plug in L&R Audio you can then copy it to 24bitCDAudio disc.

I also copy from my computer
the same way.

Music can relax you.

Sorry, I don't know much about this. What is a 24 bit CD? Is it like a Super Audio CD?

Lol yeah, I think I'd still happily pay more if it was something particularly rare. An egg cup would go a long way in sealing the deal though.

Albums here are usually 14/15 euro. I have seen ones for about 28 euro which is ridiculous. I can't remember the most expensieve one I've ever bought.
