|
People (Smithy) are over using them now and they are so ****ing annoying. The amount there being used must be slowing peoples internets down when their going into the threads they're being used in.
Wouldn't be so bad if it was gifs of different things but it's always some ******... Admin/Mods, do your jobs and ban gifs. |

To the best of my knowledge gifs aren't against the rules, While I agree that excessive use is a bad idea i'm not opposed to occasional use. I'm pretty sure there's some sort of setting that can prevent pictures being shown no?

What Smithy said, if you feel certain people are overusing gifs then you can put them on ignore and you won't see them. They're not as overused as they used to be really so I have no problem with them.
As for the quote thing, maybe it would be best for people to stop quoting gif posts? that way people who like to use gifs can use them without slowing down others. Everyone's happy. |

I think they should be regarded and treated in the same way as txt speech to be honest with you. They add nothing to the forum except if you enjoy waiting a few more mins for a page to load.
